Either completely do or completely don't. Either lie like Hitler has your phone number or be as honest as the virgin Mary. I've seen it work both ways.

I'd tend to err to the side of honesty. I think being dishonest in a relationship is building a house of cards, and eventually the other shoe will drop.

And I prefer brutal honesty over lying. Lying to someone is one of the worst things you can do to them, because you take away their ability to completely trust you.
