Dude has earned an extension.

Cook and Connor are on rookie deals and Edwards might be back cheap.

Would be nice to lower his 2024 cap hit from $14M also.

Just glad the players are focused and not listening to all outside positive noise. I honestly think the Ravens listened to all of it and how they were gonna dominate KC and it worked against them.

Pat, Kelce, and Andy are too smart to buy all the hype. I bet all they'd have to do is point to the Tampa SB to get everyone's expectations in check.

Doubt Edwards is back. They have a guy like Nazeeh Johnson waiting in the wings.

This just looks like a team built to beat this 49ers squad.

Physical CBs, speed across the defense, a varied pass rush, power running game, elite pass-catching TE.

I mean I just don't think I care what DVOA says. This team seems purpose built to be a problem for the 49ers.

Their 4 losses with Purdy came under very good defenses with good coordinators. Schwartz, Flores, Macdonald and Anarumo.

Kyle's Purdy led offense only scored 31 points in the 2nd half of those 4 games. Basically a TD every 2nd half (7.75 avg).

Almost as if smart coordinators figure their offense/QB out and crush it as the game progresses.

He's basically baiting Purdy into "are you good enough to make the tight window throws outside the numbers?". Basically, can Brock do this:

That Hurts throw was about as great as any of the great throws by NFL QBs that I've ever seen in all my years of watching NFL football. And he had another one on the opposite sideline that game. Justin Reid was in perfect coverage but Hurts just put it in the only place it could be, and it was a tight window. Dude had a stellar game, no doubt. And it still was not enough to beat Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Conner has earned the Edwards role for next year.

I'd find a cheap vet at another position, perhaps DL.

Meh. One or two of them seemed okay. Wanted to talk football, at least at first. Certainly no worse than some of the dipsticks we've had in here in past years, like that Jeff.Fisher idiot.

Always kind of looked forward to the waves of opposing fans coming in to speak their piece. Sometimes we'd get an interesting bit of info/perspective. This year it's like we're in some kind of bubble.

If not for that, we would have never gotten the board treasure… Rfaulk

Hell, Conner may have earned the Cook role for next year.

I've loved what I've seen from him, more than what I saw from Cook.

Cook’s injury recovery timeline is a wild card.

He's definitely going to be 100% come TC. There was some hope he could return this season.

Yeah, I can't see Edwards back at this point.

Extend Reid.
Get Cook back.
Elevate Conner.
Johnson back as depth.
Maybe Bush back as a cheap ST player who is OK if needed in a S role because of injury

Seems like that's the 2024 safety room. It works well because Cook and Conner are on rookie deals.

This DB pipeline is crazy. Whats even crazier is we have a guy playing so good we dont know if we should sign him or trust the pipeline. God its good to be a Chiefs fan right now.
