oh neat, this again

Texans stadium is 22 years old and plans for it's replacement is starting. Do domes have a shorter lifespan

Demonpenz 02-24-2025 09:32 PM

I want a dome like the vikings

Hard to avoid politics on this one. Is it safe to say that the local MO politicians fumbled this one …w/o mentioning names? I’m not seeing a level of urgency that you might expect from them. We’re lucky we have ownership that isn’t pulling an Art Modell. Knock on wood, the team will stay local even with a new location.

No dome, part of HFA is playing in the elements

No it's not.

The Dolphins game would suggest otherwise.

Even the Bills are keeping it ‘open air’

I wouldn't model ourselves after the Bills. Unless we want to postpone games, or move them altogether, that is.

Sassy Squatch 02-25-2025 10:39 AM

It's going to be a dome because Clark Hunt is hell bent on bringing a Super Bowl to KC. May have a retractable roof though.

Domes have nothing to do with postponing/moving games... even Buffalo with their complete shit winters have dug out seats from feet of snow.

And KC rarely has storms that just make it impossible for players and fans to get to the game safely, even though the storm the first week of January does come to mind.

Bob Fescoe lol noted Kansas homer with no connections to anything.
