Now Vanderbilt gets a technical for blocking a shot and mocking Caruso LMAO
Fix completely in for OKC |

Refs completely ruined what was looking like a great game. Lakers need to get LeBron and Reaves out for tomorrow now. |

MVP. The secret weapon. |

That's just very obviously someone that thinks the game is about him. The game meant dick (and the Lakers shouldn't have even tried to win it) so I don't really care about the 'what' of it. But the how is pretty ****ing egregious. |

This ****ing bench, man...
4/17 from the floor. 1/10 from three. They're just impossibly erratic. LA can't get through the 2nd round with this shit and may not survive the 1st. Can you guys just try being decent for a few games in a row? Not great and not dogshit - just somewhat predictably mediocre. |
Meanwhile the Mavs bench is 13/22.
That's the only reason this isn't a 20 point game. The Mavs bench is playing good basketball and the Lakers bench is...being the Lakers bench. It's just brutal. |
LeBron. Still incredibly athletic
|
Here's an amazing stat.
Do you know how many All-star, all-NBA and/or all-defensive team teammates Jokic has played with in his NBA career? Zero. Not a single one. Jokic hasn't had a single teammate make an All-Star, all-nba or all-defense team playing alongside him in 10 years in the league. Jesus, Denver - how? How can you have struggled that badly to find him help? |
Luka has his revenge.

45 for Luka.
13 for Anthony Davis. This won’t go over well. |

I just can't. I can't fathom that kind of gut punch. Would it be like trading Mahomes had he lost the first 49ers Super Bowl? And he so clearly loved it there. It's just an all-time miscalculation. |
Walk it off Barnes, always a good day when the Warriors lose.

Nico clearly just didn’t like the guy and used that dislike to justify moving him. Still took an out-of-touch idiot owner who actually listened to him too though. |

The issue is that a lot of the time DFS is on the court, James or Luka are off.
They just don't use that 5 man lineup as frequently as they could. They often use the 'big 4' plus Hayes and then when James or Luka comes off, DFS comes on. Then if Rui comes off you'll see Luke come back out and maybe James comes off and Vincent comes on. They just don't use that lineup as often as they should. And they usually have James off the floor when DFS is on, especially if DFS AND Vincent are on (then they rely on Luka to drive offense). I kinda like them keeping it in reserve as their crunch time lineup (and that's usually what they use for most of the 4th). It's definitely the best lineup they have but they don't lean into it as much as I expected they might. Maybe they'll use it more heavily in the post-season. |

Over a week of rest for LeBron after tonight. |
Yeah - Lakers need to get this done tonight. Shouldn't take much -- just go take care of business, lock up the 3 seed and let the chips fall as they may.
The matchup matters less at this point (and, frankly, is out of their control anyway because of what a mess the back of the Western bracket is) than HFA. So lock that in, get the rest advantage and move along. |

or maybe it's amazing. I can't figure it out either way. Every damn series should be incredible. But every one of them is a series I'd rather see in the semis. You really want to see Lebron vs. Steph in round 1? Lebron vs Ant? Ant vs. that young, physical Rockets team? Clippers vs. Lakers? There are a dozen possible outcomes that would all be amazing a round or two rounds later. They'd be intriguing WCF matchups. And they're going to be 1st round series. |
Will be an exciting next two games for the Thunder. Not playing anybody today vs Utah but need to maintain the best margin of victory so they can cement being the best team of All-Time.
|
3rd seed is secure and Bronny is in. Now to see if it will be the Warriors or TWolves.

Boston and Cleveland have to be counting their blessings. I would bet my life savings that either the Cavs or Celtics make the Finals. |
On Feb. 28, Anthony Edwards missed a game against the Jazz because he was serving a one-game suspension for reaching the NBA’s technical foul limit of 16, and the Wolves lost that night by one point.
The Wolves had no trouble beating the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night, 117-91, but they likely will have to face the Jazz in a must-win game Sunday to guarantee themselves a playoff spot without Edwards. Edwards is facing another suspension because he picked up a technical foul with 6 minutes, 29 seconds remaining in the second quarter after he committed a foul against Brooklyn’s Keon Johnson on the left wing. Edwards argued the call with official Ray Acosta and was called for a technical foul. Under league rules, players receive an additional one-game suspension for every second technical they accrue past 16. Edwards had already received another technical March 30 against Detroit. The league could rescind the technical upon review of the incident. Edwards and coach Chris Finch were making their best campaign pitches for the league to do that in their postgame comments Friday. Edwards admitted to using profanity when asking Acosta about the foul. “I’m praying they rescind it,” Edwards said. “I don’t feel like it should’ve been a tech, but me and Ray got a good relationship. We talked it out after the fact. But I don’t think I deserved a tech for just that little gesture.” That’s in the league’s hands now. Crew chief Bill Kennedy, in the pool report, said Edwards (nine points, five assists) was issued the technical for directing profanity at a game official. Edwards had been upset at some calls earlier in the night, and in the first quarter he appeared close to drawing a technical. Finch said he spoke to Edwards then. “I thought he was clearly fouled on an and-one that they missed in the first minutes of the game,” Finch said. “I thought he had a right to be a little bit upset with that. I talked to him at that point in time, just leave it go, leave it go.” But he didn’t. In the second quarter, the officials had called some fouls on the Wolves on the perimeter — Nickeil Alexander-Walker picked up three in the second quarter alone — and Edwards got caught in those whistles on the play with Johnson. |
Edwards is just as frightening as Luka, if not moreso because hes a good defender.
Edwards is the most talented player in the NBA right now. If those two just focused a little bit on caring about shot selection... Maybe that will come with age. |
Christian Braun led all NBA point guards, shooting guards, and small forwards in field goal percentage this year. 58%.
Next closes was Derrick Jones Jr at 52.7%. |

There was a stat out there about his huge discrepancy in field goal percentage depending upon if he made or missed his first shot. Sounds like he’s gotten over that. |
Picked up Braun the first week of the season as I was watching a lot of Nuggets games and saw how effective he was and that FG% of his helped me to the title.

Yeah, Warriors had to play better and they didn't. Hate to see it as well. They were playing really well down the stretch and a few losses sunk them. They could come back but they need to play better.

No one should be surprised with the Warriors. They just don't have the shooting like the did when they were winning their championships.

The Wolves issues is a simple matchup problem - they like to go with 2 C lineups and that lineup can't do a damn thing against the Lakers on offense. You can't play big against LA. Gobert/Reid isn't a viable duo against them. Frankly, Gobert OR Reid is a problem for them. The Lakers put those guys in a blender pretty easily, IMO. Now the Randle trade becomes a bit interesting now -- can they get away with Randle as a small ball 5? So you go with Edwards, McDaniels, DiVincenzo, Alexander-Walker and Randle as your starting 5? Yeah - you probably could. Then go big with the Lakers have James and/or Luka off the floor to absorb some minutes. But man, that lineup doesn't TOUCH what LA has. You're giving up a ton with the starters. Minnesota has some real matchup issues to navigate and I don't think they have the personnel to do it. It was GSW that made me most nervous there because they could do a good smaller lineup with Draymond at the 5. Minnesota can't do that. I think they'll have to try because the Lakers can/will absolutley maul Gobert. But unless Edwards goes for 40+/gm, I just don't see this going more than 6 and really I'd say it's very possible that it only goes 5. |
Not worried about the TWolves, Randle will blow it for them. He's soft and not conducive to winning basketball at the highest level.
|
Congrats to the G League champion Stockton Kings.
|
Guess Ill root for the Warriors to win their game Tuesday. Just because they are the worst matchup for OKC among the Grizz, Mavs, Kings and GSW. But really the Thunder will absolutely curbstomp the Warriors.
Not worried in the slightest until Round 2 where any matchup will be tough. Denver would be the team I want to play the most there. |
Friend bet me and took Minny vs lakers.
Not sure why he did that |
Not sure why Memphis is sticking with Edey here, he’s effectively unplayable given his movement and the Warriors are targeting him defensively every possession

Memphis back into the game as soon as their coach is forced to bench Edey due to foul trouble

Refs getting involved to save the Warriors with complete phantom fouls, seen this before

Draymond Green has never actually committed a foul in his career.

Fastest five seconds call I’ve ever seen, wtf…
|
Refs tried to keep the Grizz in it with 3 blatantly bad foul calls.
