You obviously. Your entire schtick is that the team doesn’t care about these meaningless regular season games and that’s why they, offense specifically, is poor at times. Players being unhappy with their play and and a game, despite winning, is clearly a complete rebuke of your excuse making.

Oh, I'm completely fine. I'm the guy enjoying watching a 10-1 team coming off B2B SBs with the best QB in NFL history and not bitching and moaning about them missing a couple throws/playing a few close games in November as if that is something worrisome or abnormal.

The fact that you can't appreciate we are squarely in the middle of the greatest run in NFL history isn't my problem.

And there are Chiefs fans who every week ignore how frustrated Mahomes is at his play and the offenses play. Mahomes himself was saying he wasn't playing up to his standards and when people here agreed, you just bring up the team record and act as if they're miserable fans for agreeing with Mahomes.

I am specifically referring to the reactionaries lighting up my timeline on Twitter.

This.

The Chiefs have consistently played down to each and every opponent. Teams that we should crush are allowed to hang in to the 4th quarter.

Even in post season "when it matters" they're going down multiple scores before all the pistons get firing.

It's obviously something they're accustomed to, and it's nice to have experience upon experience of winning games like this, but honestly there's really no rule against coming in and slamming the door from the kickoff.

Spags has some work to do with his pressure packages, because they are getting blocked up pretty well.

Admittedly that kid made a few absolute dynamite throws in that game that remind you that there's no defense for a perfect pass. The td bullet with Duff's arm in between the receivers arms, and that throw where he absolutely got blasted back to the stone age and still threw a ****ing dot for the first down.

You'll live with those, because God damn, that's not going to happen all the time.

I think the Chiefs across the board, fans included thought this was a win just for showing up. We opened the game strong, and expected them to roll over, and they refused.

Allowing 20-9 to turn into 30-27, when your defense typically plays far superior football in the second half is just frustrating to watch.

I think that’s what they wish our record actually was

Bullshit.

i love how little of a pulse these writers have on the ebbs and flow of the league. Teams fluctuate in their quality of play, but these guys get something in their head about a team in week 2 or 3 and roll with it for the rest of the season. “Oh, it’s the Panthers! They suck!”. Now, on the surface, this is correct. Yes, the Panthers suck. No one would argue this, but let’s take a more nuanced approach here.

the Panthers had won their previous two games and were clearly playing with more mojo than they were at the beginning of the year when they were utter lame ducks. Young has been building confidence, they’ve gotten some guys back on offense and their running game has started to get going a little bit. Not to mention that Canales is a young coach who’s also figuring it out, and appears to be getting it going too because there were some very well designed play on offense from the Panthers.

And I’ve said it a million times, but look around the league. This is the part of the year where upsets are plentiful and a lot of games are insanely close, regardless of the differences in quality between teams. I mean, I don’t think there was a single person seriously picking the cowboys to upset the Commanders. A result that goes completely against everything we’ve learned from the beginning of the season.

So yeah, TLDR; sports journalists are brain dead tunnel vision ass mfers

Bills will demand that the 1 seed be determined by “Pulse Record” after the Chiefs 3-Peat

smithandrew051 11-25-2024 12:25 PM

We need a photoshop of the Bills raising a “Pulse Record” banner

Chiefs are going to rape the Raiders this week and I’m gonna be ready for the media to just STFU already

How the **** did the Athletic come up with the narrative that were we lucky to win yesterday? We were never behind and were tying the game for a total of 3 minutes and 11 seconds. The only reason they had a sliver of hope was because of bullshit decisions by the referees, even with our defense playing like shit. Whoever wrote that piece of shit article should be hung, drawn, quartered and then set on fire.

That's why I think the whole cardiac Chiefs memes are crazy overplayed (and saw them again last night)... the game was definitely a grind and I wouldn't have been sad had I missed it, but the Panthers never even had a possession where they could take the lead (outside of scoring a touchdown + 2pt conversion early in the game, I guess).

It was frustrating to watch, but not stressful at all (oh no, Mahomes has to get into FG range with 1:45 on the clock? :spock: ) or lucky. Good teams can play like shit and beat the dumpster fires of the league... that's always been a thing.

The Bills played almost an identical game to this against a 2-6 Miami about 3 weeks ago. They let the Dolphins score to tie it with an almost exact amount of time left and the Bills kicked a FG to win (although that was 61 yards and not 30, so it was a bit more up in the air).

Nothing about yesterday's game was unusual for the NFL.
