Good to see Jaylen and Joshua are still buds despite competing for the CB3 spot last year and CB2 spot this year.

You have two muscles in your calf. the one you see on the outside and one that's almost like the 'tender' in a chicken breast that's buried underneath the big one. That smaller one really does a lot that you don't realize and it tends to atrophy fairly quickly. I think Watson's return will come down to how quickly he can build back the strength in his lower leg/calf after having it mostly immobilized for as long as he has. I'm betting by any 'normal' standard he's healed at this point. He probably walks around on it with no trouble. But to get that back into playing shape, he's gonna have to get strength back in there. That's just gonna take a little time. (That photo doesn't inspire a ton of confidence, to be honest. Left calf seems quite a bit smaller). |
The more we post, the bigger that calf gets!!!!

I think the Steven Nelson signing is partly due to them not being sure about Watson.
It’s not easy coming back from this so quickly. And even so will he be who he was before so soon? |

BTW ya'll if you look closely on Jaylen's right calf you'll see dude has the Chiefs Arrowhead tattoo there. |

Even if you project Watson back for the AFCCG, you don't count on that. You treat it as bonus. |

I’m confused. Wouldn’t players be required to be in the facility even when injured?
They’re still under contract and you’d think the team would want their own trainers to keep tabs on their recovery. Not to mention have them sitting in on positional meetings to stay up-to-date on game day operations and shit. |

I had to take close to 4 months total off to recover from a hamstring tendon tear, probably the least effected part of my legs were my calves. My worthless $.02 |

Saw a video on youtube from "show me football" and they say Mitch Holthus said "The Chiefs are getting back Hollywood Brown and maybe Jaylen Watson". He's inside the organisation so if he's saying there's a chance then you can bank on it.

It took month to as much as do a toe raise on my right foot. And for the first couple of weeks, I could use both feet to elevate and then maybe hold 1-2 seconds on the right foot after raising my left leg. It just atrophied so damn quickly. That muscle gets a ton of work just living day to day and it doesn't take much time at all for it to waste away if you're not using it. |
