Sure but you used a poor example to make your point. And BTW, I didn’t agree with the decision that Andy made. I would’ve taken the points. But that doesn’t necessarily make it a bad decision. And it’s not even remotely comparable to what DC did, especially the second time when a FG would’ve tied the game and at least slowed down the SF momentum.

Look, I understand, the point is do you think anyone would have been talking about our injuries had the Chiefs lost? No. We don’t get the benefit of those excuses anymore.

I was just arguing the point of our injuries being “the same or worse”. I don’t think it was close.

The Dolphins and Bills were missing star players. Their best.

Thuney is a star and one of our best, and Gay definitely plays a big role, but Mike Edward’s is probably our worst defender outside of Nnadi lol and that was pretty much it for us

As I said earlier in the thread I like this matchup so much better than the Lions. We can handle Purdy and their defense isn't very good.

Felt similar against the Ravens, which was to make the Ravens a passing team as our d backs could smother their WR's. The Ravens D though is legit.

the 49ers weapons blow the ravens out of the water though. covering aiyuk and deebo will be our corners toughest test yet. but it all comes down to turdy and i have a good feeling we’ll confuse him and force some turnovers

We can use our coverage strengths better against SF than we could against Baltimore and Buffalo.

We're a great man coverage team. It's dangerous as hell to play man against either of those squads because the QB will run it on you. Purdy can run, but he ain't those guys.

So we can come out in simple man over coverage and play harder against the traditional run game.

The 49ers just don't match up against us as well as either of the two teams we just beat in their own barn.

Vegas be damned - the Chiefs SHOULD win this game. By 2 scores, IMO. Yes, the 49ers have better WRs but that's the strength of our defense. And the 49ers OL may have an elite LT, but they're not as strong elsewhere on the OL as Buffalo and Baltimore were. Their interior is nowhere near as good as those squads.

I don't see an area on the field where they win the matchup, IMO. And ultimately I trust our coaching staff to make any adjustments necessary to pull it out in the 2nd half far more than I do Shanahan and company.

Since the AFC is the home team in this year’s Super Bowl, the Chiefs get to use the Raiders practice facility next week.

Add insult to injury for the Raiders… Chiefs playing in the Super Bowl in their home stadium while preparing at their practice facility.

It’s true, but Lamar himself is a weapon you have to worry about when playing the Ravens.

Purdy is not on that level, though he can scoot a bit. Unless he starts carving us up I think you take your chances with the pass rush against the 9ers. Focus your efforts on stopping CMC, Deebo, Aiyuk and Kittle.

We’re playing in a postseason game in their stadium before they do lol

Hilarious.

I don't fear the babyface at all. I'm not worried about SF or their offense at all. I think we should open up -4 and if we don't I might borrow money to bet with this week. It'll be stealing money...

It was.

The 49ers 2019 defense was a true monster. This version still has the same rep as that team because Bosa, Warner and Armstead are still there. Some of their core players are still around. A) they aren't quite as good as they were 5 years ago and B) their supporting cast isn't as deep.

That was a close matchup. This year, OTOH, the Chiefs are just a better football team than SF.

overall i agree. not to mention that andy has pretty soundly beaten a shanahan team three times now. i don’t think this game will look dissimilar to our dominant win in san fran last year

It's not a big deal - we already had the keys...

Spags OWNS the Shanny offense.

Be it SF or Miami his D just donkey punches that scheme every single time...

Don't forget that construction worker buried a KC flag under the stadium.

Mmm, I don’t think our injuries were on that level.

The Dolphins had lost their two best pass rushers already and Tyreek, Mostert, Achane and Waddle were all injured in the weeks leading up to our game.

The Bills might have had it worse with having Milano, Tre White, and was it Poyer or Hyde out? I can’t remember. Gabe Davis was out as well. Taron Johnson prob shouldn’t have played and there were also rumblings that Stefon Diggs had a foot injury late in the season, though I don’t think it’s been confirmed.

Just stop. His point was perfectly valid and accurate
