Would this new QB bring harmony to CP?

I have a sinking feeling that you'll get a bunch of immature losers (people who defended Alex Smith) who don't want to be wrong about being cautious towards QBs drafted with high picks. Sure, it will start with a lot of fanfare, but the rookie will struggle the way 99.9% of all rookie QBs do, and you'll start to see signs bashing and doubting taking place very soon into the guy's first season. It will start a whole 'nother cycle of QB drama, only this time with the sides reversed.

Of course, that's just a prediction. I have no proof or evidence that this will take place. But I know how CP posters operate. Somebody who was attacked for years for an opinion gets uppity and goes on the attack when it's their turn to see their opinion take a backseat to the plans of the Chiefs. It's the life cycle. Except the drafturbators haven't even had a ****ing turn since 1983. That's the uncertainty surrounding it.

If we trade for a veteran backup after Alex, I think you'll see the current QB climate get even ****ing worse.

Since nobody has been wondering what I think, I'm finally gonna break down and tell ya.

I don't mind Sandy or T-Up being around. By themselves they are not so bad. But.....

I couldn't stand them or ANY of the 49er fans who brought their Kaepernick vs Alex wars over here. IMO those ****ers needed their own sub-forum. I don't miss that bullshit at all.

Yeah, my concern specifically will be the "excuses" versus "legit reasons".

This will be the next divisive issue for the QB.

People that hate Alex call everything from playcalling to player injuries excuses. People that like or are open minded call these same things legit reasons.

So once Smith is gone, will the same rules apply to the next QB?

Pretty sad to say.. I doubt it. The next guy.. so long as he isn't another instantly hated retread.. will be allowed every excuse.. which from my point of view would likely be fair (as it's consistent with my prior QB view).. but so obviously inconsistent from those unwilling to give all QBs the same courtesy.

For a young rookie QB? Absolutely, you're definitely right. That's totally fair.

? Wasn't talking about being gone except Clay should be banned perm. Maybe bolded the wrong part?

Regardless the catalyst has been removed and the board is better for it.

People looking for any excuse to say "I told you so"? I think you have a pretty damn good chance of being right.

Yes I did, sorry.
What I said still stands. There are many members, long time members who put both in the same category.
For people on here to continually say it's just the people who agree with Meat Peeker that want ATTENTIONBITCH gone is bullshit.
As many members have already said. They're two side to the same coin.

Alex Whiff is 32 years old and has been in the league for 12 seasons. The fact that you're holding him to the same standards as a hypothetical rookie QB speaks volumes.

Don't you have anything better to do than lurk on our boards and talk constant shit? Oh that's right , your team ain't playing for shit in January

This thread is classic example of CP more concerned about bleeding all over this place rather than actually discussing football

Why would we give an 8 year vet, like Alex was before coming here, the same rope (read: courtesy) with which to hang himself as we would a rookie QB in his first year in the league?

That is not being inconsistent... that is expecting an 8 year vet to know some shit the rookie doesn't.
