I like Mike Anderson's philosophy to run at you the whole game but there is a point in the game (like leading by 10+ with less than 4 minutes to go) that he needs to back off completely on offense. Shooting with more than 8 left on the shot clock is stupid with a large lead like that. It seemed like we didn't take more than 15 seconds off the shot clock on a lot of those possessions down the stretch. Also I absolutely hated the possession in overtime with 54 seconds left up by 1 to come out of a timeout and let the clock run down to 25 seconds and turn the ball over. Attack the rim early so that you are guaranteed another possession to get the lead back if something were to happen. I love Mike Anderson but those late game decisions just left me baffled. Who knows maybe it's on the players, but I think situations like this definitely need to be worked on before we get deep into Big 12 play. Hopefully they can learn from this and move on.

All that being said, very nice road win for the Tigers.

Then that damn near should be on ice, assuming you can hit free throws. What up, Memphis.

Definite nail-biter that we should have won easier, but Tech just went crazy on 3's at the end. Thankfully we stayed tough and pulled out the win - a loss in this game could have haunted us all season.

Survive and advance - on to OU.

It was 11 with about 3 minutes to go...but only for about 20 seconds. Then that 25% TT shooter started channeling Matt Lawrence.

The thing is, we WERE hitting our free throws at the end. TT just went crazy from 3-point land. I bet they shot 80% from 3 in the last couple minutes.

Brad Reese...before last night's game he was shooting 25% from 3. Then he dropped in 5 of 6. Just one of those things you can't really plan for.

They needed too, MU controlled the tempo of the game until the end. Good road win Tiggers.
