We can’t absorb that $18 million bonus.

I think he’s getting cut before the 8p deadline.

Could we restructure that bonus and split it across the three remaining years to start?

If 46 gets them somebody like Williams, Ebiketie, or Mafe, I’d consider that a huge win.

Hunter and one of those guys would be fantastic.

Then get your starting corner, RT, DT, or a WR at 62.

It’s not the player or even the injury risk.

It’s the money. The Vikings can’t handle that bonus nor can we. His agent may be out shopping for deals to bring to the Vikings as part of a trade but there aren’t many teams that can handle his cap hit and justify giving value.

If a deal hasn’t happened by now I think they’ll cut him.

$15 million/yr for our #2 wideout?

Jesus - how much were you prepared to spend on our third receiving option?

We spent $16mil for Sammy and that was 4 years ago.

His bonus hits tomorrow, I think.

Yea, when we had Pat on a rookie contract and weren’t about to pay Tyreek 20+.

God damn you’re clueless.

Yeah...back when Hill's cap hit was under $4 million. Times are a little different right now.

If he were willing to do that the Vikings would’ve done it by now. Or will if nothing comes together.

He’s trying to leverage it.

I’m not trading anything significant for Hunter. I’m a big fan of his style of play, but we would be fools to trade for another guy with multiple injury concerns and committed to him for a few years.

I’d rather draft 2 DEs in this draft with quality at the position.

And how much were Mahomes, Hill and Jones making at the time?

Oh, and it was STUPID when we did it then.

He may not be willing to do it with them but do it with another team. Especially if it buys time to work out another deal.

Well damn, if they cut him and we can get him without losing any of our draft picks, that’s a swing I’m willing to take.

How could you be in on Smith, Jones, Miller etc. but not Hunter, when all of those guys are older and had recent significant injuries?

If they cut him....then we're fighting everyone else for him. He'd probably go sign with the Rams.

Ah, thought it was tomorrow.

Yeah, whenever that bonus is due.

Or they may look to ‘control the landing’ by trading him for a late pick just to dictate where he ends up. Which could be to our advantage.

I think 30 for 46 will prove to be an overpay. That’s essentially a mid-3rd and I’m starting to think they won’t get that.

$15 mil is the price for a WR like Robinson. I would have paid it. They're going to end up giving 10-12 for Juju and I think Robinson is a lot better.
