I just don't see Pioli gone. I doubt the man went there to dig his own grave and allow Heckert to come in and take his job. Could happen but nothing I'd ever heard of.

Me three. I hope I'm wrong but Reid's team's have gotten steadily worse over the last few years. My biggest worry is how involved in the draft he will be. The Phillies owner was recently quoted as saying Reid's selections weren't as productive as his GM's. I also get the sense he's kinda burned out. Perhaps if he had a year off to recharge and knew he had little involvement in the draft I would feel a lot better about the hire.
