Ehhhhhhh. Their draft has been good but their FA class was pretty meh.

But you don't have to conjure one.

There are a half-dozen guys on the board in the 4.3/low 4.4s. Including the guy he wanted (Lane).

And hey, maybe Brown was still dinged up - but his legs shoulda been fine and he definitely wasn't moving the needle much.

I mean the biggest issue may have nothing to do with the WR room and everything to do with offensive design. We still ran through Kelce. And the guy is running in quicksand these days.

You could probably run an offense with the personnel we have that gets itself into open space better by just not running it through TK anymore. Because on paper there does appear to be enough speed there.

But in the field, I just have a hard time saying that it didnt look DAMN slow.

Believe it for RB. No so much for WR

They still aren't winning again any time soon.

Now for a very under the radar but excellent draft so far, the Arizona Cardinals are ****ing crushing it.

Nolen, Will Johnson and Burch are 3 great picks on that defense.

FloridaMan88 04-25-2025 10:49 PM

Go draft Tuten and that 4.32 speed tomorrow.

He lacks vision and fumbles

No reason to draft a RB this year. Draft one next year to replace Pacheco. No need this year.

So glad the Chiefs didn't listen to you guys and waste a Top 3 Round pick on running back.

Well, we can debate about the specific players but the positions Veach drafted are pretty unassailable. All positions of need, all strengths of this particular draft.

bigjosh 04-26-2025 06:02 AM

I love how the defense is looking. High potential players at positions that have:
- aging veterans
-upcoming free agents

I think all three defensive picks will contribute day 1.

Im ecstatic if we come away from today wit guys like damien martinez and jaylin conyers

Why do all my local kids end up playing for teams I don’t like? Landon Jackson to the Bills.

No need to take one early, I agree, but absolutely want one today.

YOU see a full RB room, I see a lack of juice. I'd like a BETTER option than high mileage Hunt and Pacheco.

Anyone who thinks the Chiefs RB situation is fine as is, is completely ignoring the fact that the Chiefs longest run last season was 34 yards.

That’s historically awful.

I wasn't just that. They had like 17 plays all season of over 15 yards. Like you said, historically bad.

I'm really pleased with the Chiefs' draft so far. It all hinges on Simmons. If he becomes the starting LT, this draft looks like a home run. I really love what they did with drafting defense.

RunKC 04-26-2025 08:42 AM

LT, explosive playmakers, CB and pass rush

I thought those were our biggest glaring weaknesses. We’ve addressed 3 of 4 in a big way. I hope we address WR and RB today.

Get more speed and playmaking ability
