More opportunity to spur economic development at the Legends. The development is already in place where the old Sprint Campus is.

Maybe you aren't familiar with all of the development going in there the next few years, but I can assure it's far from capacity.

damn I used to live in that apartment complex on metcalf that was walking distance to the sprint campus. there's a universe where I could walk to Royals games.

they'll need to fix metcalf to make this work though, that street is enough of a shit show during rush hour.

Intresting that some spots are always recycled for sports facilities. The Sprint campus spot, Overland Park tried to build a smaller arena there in the early 00s. Brookridge is close to where in the early 70s they wanted to build an arena for the Kansas City Scouts. That would have been in Corporate Woods area.

Royals are such assholes. We want a downtown stadium. Ohh look a suburban stadium. Let joco or the dotted have them.

Counties should be part owners with the billions they spend.

Build a new stadium and entertainment district at Truman. New arrowhead with same type of dimensions. Maybe 85 to 90k.
Entertainment district. Couple bars, rally house, couple restaurants. Top golf mini golf, mini casino, vr rooms, hotel. Small amphitheater. All the other stuff can run year round.

That's a total of 3 home games in the last 9 years.

The OP Royals? That is so weird. I mean I understand the owners wanting their vanity project just down the street from their mansion but it's so unusual not to have it at least near downtown. Makes me wonder how sincere the interest really is. Google is telling me 17 miles from downtown.
