Three current AFC WC teams don't and won't have their starting QB for the rest of the season, with each being out a significant portion of the season.

The top 2 seeds, Balt and Mia, both have QBs that are competely unproven and untrustworthy in the post season.

The third seed has been the best team in the NFL, with 2 SBs already in the last 5 years, are as unpredictable as anyone else in the playoffs.

The fourth seed was vying for the #1 seed 3 weeks ago and have since lost 3 straight.

The Houston Texans won 3 games last year, now have the rookie of the year and are pushing for a WC berth at 8-6.

The Buffalo Bills are currently the ninth seed but tons of mouth breathers fully believe they're the most dangerous team in the AFC and they do have tons of weapons and potential...but are basically a hot chick with a million dollar body and a .10cent brain.

Before last week, 6 teams had a 7-6 record and are/were fighting for 2 WC spots.

And the damn Denver Broncos, who started 1-5 and gave up a 70 burger to the Dolphins are the team that can **** everything up and actually make the playoffs!

Over in the NFC...

Dallas, Detroit and Tampa Bay (without Brady) are 3 of the top 4 seeds

The Eagles, "everyone's" SB pick the last couple years (until recently) started 10-1 the last 2 years and is now a WC team, losing 3 straight.

The Vikings are currently a playoff team, while starting their 4th QB this year.

The Rams, left for dead after their SB win in '21 are currently a playoff team with 35 year old Matt Stafford.

And going into week 16, there are still 26 out of 32 teams mathmatically able to make the playoffs.

Yeah.

Same ole same ole. :doh!:

Skylar Thompson and Tyler Hintley started playoff games last year. 49ers did not have a QB for the NFCC. Again nothing new. Just about every year a team goes from worst to first or does better than anticipated while a no Brainer team misses the playoffs altogether

Do you even know what a football is, bro?

Yeah, 2022 preseason, barring a surprise playoff contender or major upset, the CGs were going to come down to the Bills, Bengals, Chiefs, 49ers, and Tom Brady's refs.

Prior to 2021, it was going to be the Chiefs, Bills, 49ers, Packers, Brady's refs

2020... Bills, Chiefs, 49ers, Packers, Brady's refs

2019... Chiefs, Packers, Brady's refs

....obviously, not all of that happened, but probably the first time since 2018 where any preseason thoughts for the AFC fly out the window and you can't be sure of any of it.

Preseason this year, the obvious picks were Bengals, Bills, Chiefs, Eagles, 49ers... I'd still bet on those two NFC teams given the rest of the field, but there's 4 month collision course where everybody knows what's going to happen in the AFC and we just have to wait for it.

Rausch 12-19-2023 04:48 PM

The Bills will lose a road game in round 2, like always, and like it...

There's a reason Vegas always goes with the best combination of HC, QB, and defense. This year that's us. In fact it likely will be for quite some time...

McDermott going full Gunther and being DC too

If you are surprised by this season's results you can't have ever watched football the last 20 years....

Injuries have always been a force multiplier. Say what you want about Lamar, but when he's healthy the Ravens win ALOT.

Pasta Little Brioni 12-19-2023 08:31 PM

It's not surprising at all that since Tua is healthy with Reek, Waddle, and that defense are winning games. The bottom of the AFC playoffs is just pure trash anyway. Obviously the Bills don't belong with that garbage but they literally could have won every game.

Chris Meck 12-19-2023 08:51 PM

This is all going to come down to who's healthy and gets hot in January. Could be KC. Could be any of a half a dozen teams, really.

wbbonneriii 12-19-2023 09:06 PM

Bills are playing the best football…with Baltimore second and Chiefs third…

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 12-19-2023 09:10 PM

We good…. Mahomes leads the league in total yards all while throwing to the prisoners of Guantanamo Bay

Just like every NFL season ever basically.

Flacco and Eli got hot to win championships over far greater QBs, so...

I said it another thread, but I’ll take my chances with Pat and Andy.

I think it started this past weekend. This is the time of year the contenders continue winning and the pretenders start to fall off.
