How do you know that he doesn't?

He wasn't drafted, he has only climbed the depth chart by virtue of the guy in front of him departing the team and they felt confident enough about him to quickly sign Nick Foles the moment the Rams released him.

He threw some deep passes that made the Never Alex clique fawn and not much of shit beyond that. He's going into Year 5; what makes you seem confident that he's going to win that #2 spot?

It's pretty straight, Dane.

Alex isn't going to tilt the needle one way or another. He manages the game to let the team do a lot of the lifting.

Bray sucks and will lose games. Pretty straight forward.

Yeah, and Daniel "sucked", too.

Andy will find a way to scheme around any QB's deficiencies, just like has for more than a decade.

AJ Feeley led the Eagles to a 4-0 record when McNabb was injured.

I'll tell you why we know he sucks - because even Mr. Tomahawk isn't in here fluffing him up. That's when you know there's no hope for Bray.

AJ Feeley led the Eagles to a 5-0 record when McNabb was injured.

Daniel was a shorter, fatter Alex and was pretty damn smart. Bray is a million dollar arm with a 5 cent brain.

He had all the talent in the world in college. Talent alone was a second round pick. His struggles were learning the playbook and his focus. I would have to think the Chiefs see something in Bray or else they wouldn't of kept him around for 5 years

AJ Feeley went 4-0 and was flipped for a 2nd round pick, then did nothing without Reid.

You severely underestimate Reid's ability to scheme for his players.

And you're speaking in massive hypotheticals.

LMAO

Tyler Bray was a beanpole that had a strong arm and he played in the SEC. That's pretty much it.

That was a great Houdini act by Andy, but I think Feeley got sent to Miami to play for ****ing Dave Wannstedt. I don't think any QB was really gonna be successful playing for that tool.

You're assuming Reid can do a Houdini with every QB he handles and sometimes it doesn't work out.

I've never been real crazy about Bray. He was always a pretty raw QB. Not a huge fan of his footwork... but to be fair Mahomes does some of the same things. That back foot not stepping into the throw thing usually gets you killed if your name is not Aaron Rodgers. Mahomes does it a lot.

The only difference is I trust Reid to ride him pretty hard to make smart decisions. To be honest if we had a different coach I'd actually be somewhat worried about drafting a guy like Mahomes. But he's got the tools and a coach who can try to get the best out of them, so he's got a chance.

And Clay wanted him in the 1st round.

Regardless, this is his fifth year with the Chiefs.

He's not a 21 year old kid anymore.

He was compared to a less athletic version of Matthew Stafford coming out of college. Imagine our offense with Stafford

What a stupid article that was. He's not like Stafford in a lot of ways.

Talent wise yes. Maturity and mental aspect of the game, no.

Come on man. Stafford was one of the best prospects in a decade. The #1 pick in the draft. Bray wasn't even drafted. Bray was wildly inconsistent in college, had poor footwork and wasn't anywhere near Stafford. The only thing they had in common was a huge arm. But Stafford's arm is pretty great.

What's this thread about again??

ROFL

No shit. Good god, I don't remember penbrook ever being on such a weird tangent.
Maybe I just wasn't paying attention all this time.
