“This would be a major loss. You gotta value the experience of Grimes. I’d step up and pay what you have to. Can’t let him get away.”

I'd be surprised if we could do better than Daniels next year at QB but we saw what he was without Kotelnicki hiding his flaws (and there were quite a few).
|
He was quite a bit better about 2/3 of the way through the year until the Baylor game.
Had he played that way all year, we probably win 8 games. If he’s healthy with a better OC, then that’s probably fine. I’d rather just throw Marshall in there though. Let him grow with the next batch of weapons. |
This tells me KU believes Grimes was the problem (as Daniels’ people said in a professional way after we went 1-5).
What a catastrophic hire that was by Lance and co. They better get the next one right. |
Also, I know that college sports has come to this, but it's sad that this announcement isn't that he came back to Kansas because he likes the program or wants to win a championship, it's that he "signed a new deal". I don't blame anyone for getting their money of course, it's just a little depressing this is what the NIL situation has become.

JD6 is probably better than any other option at the moment - Ballard, Marshall, McComb.
That being said - good luck to him because I feel like the offense next year is going to be pretty below average. |
Grimes
He gone We rejoice |
