I hope Duffy is ready to take over in the rotation for some starts this year when needed. I doubt Chen can go a whole year in the rotation.

As has been discussed, Chen won't start more than 14 games, bonus in his contract. It's the reverse of last year, he'll start out in the rotation and move to the pen

Are we not allowed to comment on a Billy Butler non-home-run? I wasn't even complaining about it, just commenting on how funny it is that of course Billy hits the ball only inches from being a home run. But by all means, let's not note anything comical about that play.

More importantly, though, Ventura was awesome, and I'm excited about him. That was fun to watch.

Also getting more excited about Aoki the more I see.

Triple-digit heat

Hammer, two-plane 11-7 curve that he was spotting at willing (could throw it for strikes or to get a chase on 0-2).

Changeup looked good (good separation from heater and some fade).

Oh, and extremely pitch efficient.
