Three years in, lookin like I nailed it.

In essence, what you're saying is what you've been saying all along - the Big XII(sic) is every bit as competitive as the SEC, and that if Mizzou would have stayed put we would be playing more "legit teams" than what we face now. That is categorically false. The Big XII(sic) offers nothing more in terms of competition than what Mizzou has faced these past three seasons. Tell me, three years ago did you foresee the collapse of Florida and South Carolina and the rise of Ole Miss and Mississippi State? Of course you didn't. That's the beauty of "most" college football conferences - there is ebb and flow throughout their league. Except your league, where there is mostly just ebb, but I digress.

Missouri is better off in the SEC in spite of your best (and ultimately futile) efforts to paint their move to the SEC East as a lateral move at best. Just accept it.

I don't think PB really cares about where mizzou is "better off" at. He's just having fun with the fact that you're playing perhaps the worst group of football teams in your history and you're still as faceless as ever.

First in the division and not even ranked? That has to be some kind of record for suckage.

These threads are fun with the benefit of hindsight as a Mizzou fan.

It was a blast kicking their asses on the way out the door. I don't know why they keep running after us and bending over, though (well, I know why Prison Bitch does it).

A little rundown:

Last football game played in the Big 12: Mizzou beats Kansas for the third straight time and leaves with the drum...a game played in Kansas City.

Last basketball game played in the Big 12: Mizzou wins the Big 12 tournament and leaves with the trophy...a game played in Kansas City.

Last basketball game we've played against a Big 12 team: Mizzou dominates West Virginia.

Last football game we've played against a Big 12 team: Mizzou spanks Oklahoma State.

Last season against the school that runs the Big 12: 4-0 against Texas in football and basketball.

Last time a Big 12 school has been ranked #1: Mizzou beats Oklahoma in Columbia in front of the largest College Gameday crowd in history.

This dumb ass notion that Mizzou can't compete in the SEC year to year and finish in the upper-tier is just beyond idiotic, and for anyone to argue differently is, well, idiotic.

Mizzou literally finished one 4th quarter shy of winning the SEC and playing for the National Title last year. But Auburn WAS the better team and deserved to win. Hats off to them. Doesn't take away from what Mizzou did or somehow discredit them.

Since joining the SEC, Mizzou is 15-6 against the SEC East and 2-2 against the SEC West in Conference play. Mizzou has beaten Georgia and South Carolina from the East, and against the West lost to Alabama, split with Heisman led Maziel A&M, and beaten Ole Miss in their own back yard. Mizzou has nothing to apologize for. They have more than held their own in the WHOLE SEC in their short time here. The conference that has won 7 of the last 8 National Titles and played in all of them. A conference that has proven during the regular season AND in bowl season to be FAR superior to the Big 12.

Anyone who argues otherwise should stop reproducing immediately for fear of risking the American population to future rampant stupidity.

I hold no false hope for Mizzou this year. Mauk is a fraud at QB. We'll make some medium-high tier bowl game (I saw a projection of us in the Outback Bowl a couple of days ago) and likely get smoked. Any Mizzou fan would have taken an 8-9 win season this year with all the turnover we've had from last season.

Now, the ironic part of your statement is that Kansas is also potentially playing the worst group of football teams in your history as well, and still can't find a way to get up off the mat. Well, save for your buddies north of Des Moines, I guess.

In 22 games played, the SECCG has never included an unranked participant...ever.

In 15 games playes, the Big 12 CCG has featured unranked teams three times (those teams finished 7-6, 8-5, and 8-5). One of those teams won the Big 12.

The embarrassment of ku just keeps continuing. Only these dipshits think the bevo can hang with the SEC.

All the schools you mention in your posts are only concerned with Championships and BCS/Playoffs Wins.

Well…all except one that is.

Saul Good 11-11-2014 01:37 PM

Fun fact about the Big 12...

It currently has exactly three members who ever participated in the Big 12 CCG.

There are currently four teams outside the Big 12 who have participated in the Big 12 CCG.

Huh? Kansas is playing 2 top ten teams.

Mizzou isn't playing anyone close to that.

Well they did one (Georgia) and we all saw how that turned out.

Saul Good 11-11-2014 01:40 PM

13 of the 15 Big 12 CCGs featured teams no longer in the Big 12 (including the last 7).

When was the last time someone who left won the league?

On the field, or versus the spread?

I keep forgetting which one is important to you.

It's been a while. Texas and Oklahoma won the last 7 CCGs. That must be where all that "parity" talk came from.
