Apparently we had a formal interview with TE Mark Andrews from OU. He’s a badass.

I think the issue is not necessarily with guards. Yes, we could use a better LG, but we've got guys on the roster. There's at least continuity, if there isn't quality.

Morse just isn't doing the job at C. He's had one good year. If we're always bitching about our OL not getting any push in the run, why is Morse absolved from any of that blame, and why did we suddenly find more success for Hunt when Morse went down for the year and Fulton took over at C?

And if we let go of Fulton (which we SHOULD do if we're not going to make him a starting C) we have nobody behind Morse.

Well, with Morse this year he did originally get injured week 2 against the Eagles. So it’s very possible that he was never close to 100% after that before ultimately getting re-injured and put on IR.

I wouldn’t be trying to extend him at this point, but I think they like him enough to start him again for the season at C.

This would be the best ****ing time to extend Morse. People forget he was a high level Center the previous year.

$14M AAV for Watkins is an absolute NO. I don't know that I would want to pay that much to Robinson either though. That seems a little to high.

Thought about that the other day

Could get him cheaper but injury concerns could bite them

Pretty neat to look at.

Awww shit, I'm already getting a chub about the formal interview with Will Hernandez

Here is a brief summary of a scouting report on this manster...

6'2 340
Wide body mauler, better mover than body type suggests
Coordinated, with a suddenness and low drive off the snap that can move the LOS
Plays with a mean streak
Can adjust and land blocks on the second level
Strong hands and powerful upper body that can lock onto and drive defenders into the ground

:whackit: go get this guy, Brett1!

pugsnotdrugs19 03-11-2018 03:22 PM

I like EJ Gaines as a potential CB signing. Injury issues have been there but he is just 26, has an awesome season in Buffalo. Might be considerably cheaper than a Trumaine Johnson or Kyle Fuller.

RealSNR 03-11-2018 03:28 PM

Interviewed the Texas punter!

I doubt we draft him, because there will be SOME team who will blow their 3rd on him. And if it's us, we probably ****ed up.

Colquitt's been great, and I didn't mind blowing a 3rd on him at the time only because those Carl/Vermeil drafts were some of the AIDSiest this team has ever seen, so you may as well take the known deluxe punter over some shitty Julian Battle asshole.

That's just something we can't do now, though.

Short with small arms and is hurt a lot. Pass. I still like Brashaud Breeland and hope we go after him.

No Josh Jackson or Josey Jewell? I know I am a Hawkeye homer but they both play positions that we are weak on right now and Josey will be there at one of our picks and Josh has the potential to fall that low... Both are going to be gamers in the league.

Why does Jackson have the potential to fall to us? Everything I've seen out of him screams 1st round pick.

I don't see #1 corner potential in Breeland.

RealSNR 03-11-2018 03:53 PM

How about Donte Moncrief on a short term "prove it" deal similar to what we gave David Amerson? Low risk, potential decent reward. If he keeps getting injured, it's not like we lost anything huge.

Yeah Trumaine Johnson is the only real #1 corner that fits that mold. Breeland is a capable 2nd corner with the ability to play against bigger receivers.

Might have to look to the draft.
