Yep. I'll take 15/17 on shitty passes over 2/15 on good passes. That's just me though.

Ace Gunner 09-01-2011 09:34 PM

can somebody start the

"QB needs to always lead his team with pillowtop throws"

thread so I can rebute with the old

"it doesn't have to be the QB ALWAYS LEADING - it often starts with good enough WR's that catch all his shitty balls until he gains confidence to throw his best passes"

routine.

Yep. You didn't have to watch the game after all lol.

I really hope we aren't serious about Cassel as a long term solution. He won't win us a Super Bowl. He's more likely to get Haley fired than do that.

RedThat 09-01-2011 09:34 PM

Haley is an idiot.

Pete, I agree that cassel looked decent tonight. Made good decisions and some good throws. But you gotta admit that he had a few off target. And they are correct that one was about a foot behind Bowe on a slant. I remember that one well.

He made good throws, and he was also bailed out on some shit throws. What else is new?

Which is exactly what he is and always will be. A decent QB, but not one of the league's top 10 (which you almost have to have at this point to win it all).

All true, but he made a perfect throw to Bowe down the field coming across the field for a big gain.

Well put. I think we are all just flustrated with some poor outings the last 3 weeks. Can't wait until the games are played for keeps.

Cassel is very important to this offense. He rarely turns the ball over, is tough as nails, is one hell of a leader. He is good enough to win us games we should win, but I am not convinced that he can win a game when it is on his shoulders.

Which is why all we want for Christmas is a franchise QB.

What was the NFC West's record in out of division games last year? They'll get respect win they when some real games, not fake football.

But every QB makes throws that are not so good. I mean come on. Manning does it, Brady does it, Rivers does it. Every QB has bad throws and every QB has throws where the WR bails him out with a good catch.

After this mayhem , final cuts might be as exciting as the draft was.
