*The NEW Movies Thread*
I had planned on ignoring Gods of Egypt due to horrendous casting but my girlfriend wanted to see it so we Redboxed it.
It was bad. |

Cloverfield Lane was pretty good.
John Goodman is a real fat ****. His constant wheezing throughout the movie was high insufferable. It kinda added to the psycho vibe, though. |

I enjoyed two movies recently both are based off actual things that happened.
The Walk and The 33, I kick myself for not watching the first one on the big screen, I read it is incredible to view. |

I'm thinking about watching Tarzan and The Shallows today. Needless to say, I'm very bored.

It's out on video, and it's not a blockbuster or serious art piece.
But if you want an hour and a half of sophomoric glee, I thoroughly enjoyed 'What We Do in the Shadows.' It's a mockumentary of some vampires who ended up sharing a loft in New Zealand. Think if The Real World, Spinal Tap, and Flight of the Conchords got all mixed together on a budget. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Cv568AzZ-i8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I suppose it is hard in this day in age to even tell the story of Tarzan and be politically correct. Try they did though by making Tarzan an abolitionist hero with an African-American sidekick. The whole movie was dripping with trying to make a "New Tarzan Franchise" that would be acceptable to the masses and not offend. Sorry, but that is not the story of Tarzan. I think the time has passed on this on this whole story line and perhaps they should never attempt to make a Tarzan movie again. |

The Purge: Election Year wasn't bad for some mindless fun.
Those movies are getting weirder and weirder though. |
