Yeah shes a great shooter. If she got to shoot primarily catch and shoot 3s I bet she shoots upper 40s from 3. But shes routinely nailing logo 3s, off the dribble 3s, step backs etc.

Yeah pushing around a smaller team that has no size. She's not gonna get away with bully ball in the pros. She has to develop an outside shot and post game. She'll probably fine as a defensive specialist. But very likely she goes from being hot shit to being just a player early on.

Yup for the same reason Edey may not be a lottery pick despite dominating in college. Clark is a surefire WNBA superstar and I can't imagine who would think otherwise.

Yep, she probably should stay in college and ride the endrsement gravy train as long as possible. If she is not a super star in the WNBA those deals will start drying up.

Not a chance. WNBA needs her to have a green light and bring in the fans. The memo will go to whoever drafts her to let her run the show. She is and will be the biggest drawing card they will have.

She was great against South Carolina who are a huge team and she went toe to toe with Kamilla Cardosa who is the best center in the game and will be drafted top four. So your notion isn't fair. She's Kawhi imo. Great both ways.

The notion is fair and it is rational. Given what she could to for a teams brand and her college productivity she would be easily a top 3 pick. And yet shes barely projected in the top 10. I've looked at several mock drafts just to confirm and no one has her top 4 let alone top 5.

She is great on defense and as a rebounder. Which means scouts don't like her offensive game which goes against your idea that she's great both ways

Was not impressed. If she was Kawhi, they probably should have had her check Clark. I mean that was LSU's problem, they were guarding Clark with someone who Clark could shoot over at any point.

She is only 3 inches taller then Clark. But i think we all know how that would have turned out.

She is more of a rebounder with a very limited offensive game. Probably decent post defender but does not appear to have the conditioning or lateral quickness to defend a paremeter scorer. If she was a legit super star athelete in the vien of Kawhi, it would have been an easy call put her on Clark and make someone else beat you.

So do you think Kawhi was out there guarding Curry? :D And btw Reese got steals off of Clark two or three times and when she had the ball with Clark on her Clark couldn't guard her at all. Does she get most of her points in the paint? Yes. But she does have a decent jumper when she needs it.

I still maintain that before her injury she was the best player on the court. Period.

There is a bigger size diference between Kawhi and Curry , than Reese and Clark. Besides you just said Clark was just a spot up shooter. But yes Kawhi would have switched to Curry if they were totally getting torched and their other option was a lost 5'9 guard.

Kawhi is a forward guarder mainly. Summed up by him roughing up Giannis when Toronto won the chip that year. He's not sticking onto small guards bro let's be real about it. Reese was there to deal with Iowa's big Hannah Staulke and she did just that. She can't do everything. Paige had the guts to try and guard Juju and got torched a few times but at least she tried. I expect her to guard Clark too but do you think Clark will try to guard Paige? Cause she sure hid from Johnson that's for sure o:-)

I mean c'mon bro. Of course she isn't gonna guard Clark. But you cant seriously put her on the same level as clark or juju or paige. She bullied an undersized middling big because iowa doesnt have size. Trying to compare her to kawhi who has a solidly versatile offensive game is wrong. Until she refines her game she is more Rudy gobert except she won't have nearly the size advantage in the pros. All the forwards are 6'3" and the centers are even bigger.

She played a great game. But that is not nearly the same as Caitlin Clark whose usage was off the charts, who doesn't get much help and is constantly fighting doubles and triples. Clark and Paige didn't hide from anyone. For the same reason flaujae wasn't put on Clark despite being a good defender. Because in these games with zero rest they can't possibly guard players with that kind of usage. She'd be cashed by halftime

Rudy? Absolutely NOT!!. Reese is way more agile, crafty and nibble than him. Both defensively and offensively. You're going way over the top trying to call her a "bully" when she proved she can hustle and hang with 6'7 Kamilla Cardoso on both ends of the floor. Now yes most of her points are In the paint but her offensive game is getting better. She can hit midrange jumpers and I've seen a few threes from her in the past too. IF she does start to get more points outside the point, coupled with her elite defense and rebounding. Then she would be an all world player imo. She's younger than Clark so still has time.

Uconn has the goat coach and I suspect Geno will force switches to get Clark to guard Paige and try to get her In foul trouble. They will also blitz Clark with two or three defenders like they did Juju and force the others to beat them. Of all the coach's to face, Geno may be the toughest one Clark has faced schematically thus far. The guy is Belichick like.

So you acknowledge she doesn't have a midrange game . It's just contexture that she can if she wanted to
Despite shooting everything close to the basket shoots under 50%
Every scouting report says she can't post without size advantage and has mediocre footwork

She plays like a college 5 but will be undersized for that in the pros. Even the 4s may be bigger, stronger. Sure you've got plenty of guys like horace Grant or Clint capela who are valuable NBA pros. But that is nowhere

No I said she DOES have a midrange game but if folks can't stop her in the paint then why wouldn't she take advantage of that? Furthermore she's a FORWARD!!..and no the women's game isn't overrun full of "giants" like you seem to be suggesting. And when she's not the tallest player on the court like she wasn't against Carolina, she STILL put in work. She's a great player and her stats on both end of the court proves it. There's nothing Clark does better than Reese other than shoot, pass and dribble. Everything else is all Reese.

Yeah I mean there's nothing Clint capela and nic claxton are better than peak Steph curry except dribbling, passing and shooting.

We're comparing a player considered by many as best of all time to someone who isn't even on draft boards as top of her own position. You're either ignoring that she will need to learn to shoot and post in the pros, or claiming she's good at things she has not demonstrated she can even do. These aren't serious arguments.

"Best all time" to novices? Sure. Am I saying Reese is better than Clark? No. I'm saying she's a different player and better than you're giving her credit for. Her performance before the injury was all world, it's just that simple. Now do I think Juju is more talented than Clark and break her records? Absolutely. That's one reason why the goat talk is silly to me.

Any streams available for tonights game?

My usual list of streams show nothing available.

Thanks.

Kman34 04-05-2024 07:58 PM

Clark and her teammates playing like shit so far.. Clark being swarmed..

Sassy Squatch 04-05-2024 07:59 PM

Oof.

Kman34 04-05-2024 08:03 PM

Caitlin’s teammates aren’t good enough to take up the slack if she isn’t hitting her shots.. Still a lot of time to go but.. They are off..

Buehler445 04-05-2024 08:06 PM

That Mika chick can flat defend. She's salty.

Why Not? 04-05-2024 08:07 PM

UConn is so much better and better coached it’s not funny. This may be a blood bath. Nobody in Iowa can do shit if CC isn’t making it happen

Pablo 04-05-2024 08:32 PM

Welp, she might have given it her all v. LSU

There's a chance she wakes up in the second half I guess

Why Not? 04-05-2024 08:41 PM

I mean these Iowa chicks are awful. They should all thank CC for evermore for making them relevant.

Buehler445 04-05-2024 08:49 PM

Tie ballgame.

UConn tight.

Bearcat 04-05-2024 08:56 PM

WTF IS THIS, A CHIEFS GDT?!?!

Never doubt <strike>Patrick ****ing Mahomes</strike>

...checks notes...

Caitlin ****ing Clark!

She's been on fire the last two years in the tournament, but struggling tonight.

Not awful, but not the same talent as the other final four teams.

Buehler445 04-05-2024 09:06 PM

Stulke is wrecking them.

Kman34 04-05-2024 09:14 PM

Woo Hoo.. My girl made one..

Buehler445 04-05-2024 09:15 PM

Uconn ran out of legs.

Buehler445 04-05-2024 09:18 PM

Iowa better lock it down.

threebag 04-05-2024 09:21 PM

Gabbie Marshall is a pretty decent looking teammate

Awful this game, I meant. They’ve been better in the 4th

siberian khatru 04-05-2024 09:26 PM

Good lord

Kman34 04-05-2024 09:26 PM

IowaHawkeyeChief 04-05-2024 09:26 PM
