I used to drink the Chimay blue but there are so many choices 'in lower price levels" that I just don't get it often.
I always have it at Jack's with the rack of lamb. It's my go to meal for dinner there. I know the Q is great but I have to hope others share to get any. https://image.zmenu.com/large/112994...3545176905.jpg |
I had a sweet stout, 4.5% and a Hemp ale 7% that was funky as **** but halfway in turned into a tasty beer.

Started with Arnold Palmers tonight. My oldest daughter called and is stressed over Organic Chem at KU...is on pins and needles. Someone had recommended it with vodka...if she calls again, I might have to try that tonight...

Sounds like there’s a bunch of us getting sauced up tonight

Those Dark and Tans I was talking about are pretty flipping good with Guinness and Bully Wheat. Tried that combo for the first time not long ago, and I think that might be the current fave. |
Sazerac Rye (neat), Stella Artois Cider (decent!), Dos Equis Lager (leftover from company).

Pinnacle vodka with a squeeze of lime juice, part cranberry juice, two parts Squirt.
Busch Lights for later. I usually go for the Costco vodka but haven't made a run there in a while so picked this Pinnacle up on a whim for $15/handle on sale at Price Chopper. It's vodka, it's alright and not harsh for what it is. Vodka is easy, it all tastes the same unless you're drinking Dark Eyes. |

I just have to stay outta Costco because I'll go in for one thing and drop $150 real quick. |

But yes, Costco has the best prices on the best not-trendy Vodka that you'll find. And the Garlic/Jalapeno-stuffed olives are the best in the industry. |

Cannot do Dark Eyes, I like Pinnicle but I'm stuck with a case of Costco American. which is cheaper...

The Shop-Church Music IPA draft. Local brewery here in Tempe. Quite good.
|
I did a brewfest yesterday as an organizer (18 hour day) so as the day went along i sampled 450 different beers, then we had an after party at the brewery with free beer so by the time I got home I was well toasted.. I still do not like fruit beers.
One of my faves was a brute IPA that had a hoppy taste but no funky after taste. now: A glass of SlAM's blended red with small pieces of tomatillo smoked, over pecan, b/s chicken breasts. |

It's not unusual fot 100 brewers to be invited bringing 4 beers on the average. We are on year 4. Wild West Brewfest (WWBF) which is held in Katy, West of Houston. Now in its 7th year, the festival has over 100 different brewers and 600 beers! The event that spans over an EPIC 140,000 square feet… OF BEER, includes a VIP climate-controlled tent and an outdoor patio where the VIP patrons can chill out and enjoy rare and barrel-aged beers. WWBF also boasts a game zone, sports zone, multiple beer garden tents and much more! We love these guys because not only do they serve amazing beer, but they have raised over $500,000 in the past 6 years, giving back all of their net profits to charities. |
