Ok, get this guy in

KC_Connection 10-04-2014 10:37 PM

League wasn't good when the Jays traded him for Brandon Morrow five years ago. He's gotten worse since then.

And yet he's still pitching in the 8th inning of a tied playoff game.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-04-2014 10:37 PM

You're going to walk Adams with one out? Ok.

He's been pitching really really badly lately and Grienke was pretty unhittable today. He was at 101 pitches. He's getting paid 30 million dollars for games like this, and you take it out of his hands?

Did Peralta even try to run that out? That is a ****ing pathetic effort.

Doesn't matter. Best you could have hoped for was a K. Peralta's AB's besides the 7th inning one have been horrible.

It has to be available first before people can buy it. I heard that they are only available on 50% or so of cable networks.

That ball was well hit. The objectionable part was the effort.

kcxiv 10-04-2014 10:44 PM

wow Kemp Crushed that.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-04-2014 10:45 PM

Pat Neshek, ladies and gents.

Like that wasn't totally obvious from his play all of September.

KC_Connection 10-04-2014 10:45 PM

Wow.

Thats exactly how i felt about JP Howell. HIs numbers were a mirage. Thats when numbers lie.

KC_Connection 10-04-2014 10:46 PM

Rushed by Neshek for no reason.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-04-2014 10:46 PM

Take him out of the game and send him back to the ****ing shithole he crawled out of.

BigRedChief 10-04-2014 10:46 PM

Nesheck is just not the same pitcher as he was a month ago.

Nice to see Neshek turning into Mujica.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-04-2014 10:47 PM

The eighth should have been Martinez. Neshek almost cost you the division not more than a week ago. He's been horseshit since his luck evaporated.

Awful, just awful.

O.city 10-04-2014 10:47 PM

Neshek. ****

He was never that pitcher. He's Mujica v. 2014.

O.city 10-04-2014 10:48 PM

Neshek had a luck year. We decide to go with him in a high leverage situation. Awesome

O.city 10-04-2014 10:49 PM

Finesse bullpen pitchers get destroyed in October.

BigRedChief 10-04-2014 10:49 PM

Where the **** was Martinez? Even in a Matheny world, its a tie game.

Mr. Flopnuts 10-04-2014 10:49 PM

Pretty cool story about the baseball. Sure as **** beats cash.

Neshek did have the best FIP on the Cardinals this year. Perhaps he's just running out of steam.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-04-2014 10:51 PM

Lazy effort by Wong there.

kcpasco 10-04-2014 10:51 PM

Baseball is a funny game. Neshek was nails for 5 months of the season and Martinez was mediocre at best. But now Neshek sucks balls and Martinez is throwing good.

He's done. His september was awful. The last few weeks were bad.

O.city 10-04-2014 10:53 PM

Damn it. Had a chance to sneak out of there with 2 wins against the best they've got.

Now gotta beat Ryu (we never do) at home.

That's still luck-based. His xFIP was worse than Maness', and he has been a turd for a month now.

He has always been Pat Neshek. There was no reason for Matheny to think he was anything else after September.

Yep, looks like Martinez was the choice.

Just a personal opinion thing, but in October, I'd always go with the power arm vs a finesse guy.

Any shitty reliever (Jim Johnson) can pitch out of their mind for a year while they ride batted ball luck. A good manager should be able to realize that kind of performance is not sustainable and shouldn't be trusted.

Alot of us think Martinez should be closing. Rosenthal has had few clean innings this year especially after the All-Star break.

Mr. Flopnuts 10-04-2014 10:56 PM

You don't have to be lonely, at Farmer's only dot com!

kcxiv 10-04-2014 10:56 PM

Kenley's cutter is nice right now.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-04-2014 10:56 PM

We could have six outs this inning and probably still wouldn't score on Jansen. He owns us.

kcpasco 10-04-2014 10:56 PM

Do you really feel that Martinez couldn't implode?

Unlike Neshek, both Martinez and Maness keep the ball on the ground a lot more as well. Helps with their lower xFIP totals.

Of course. He is the type of pitcher that could walk the bases loaded and then strike out the side.

O.city 10-04-2014 10:58 PM

Maybe Grichuk can run into one or something.

kcpasco 10-04-2014 10:59 PM

I don't trust 1 reliever in the Cards pen. Neshek has been there best all season long but he picked a shitty time to go into a funk.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-04-2014 10:59 PM

Wong just looked at the most hittable pitch of the inning.

wazu 10-04-2014 10:59 PM

MLB Network (no idea if AT&T even has that, though).

sometimes, his cutter doesnt work that well. Every once in a while he loses it. Only a few years ago kid was a catcher.

Mathenied.

Yadi is obviously still hurt too. He can't hit worth a shit, and we keep Cruz instead of AJ.
