Pretty simple to make a guess at the chances of each of those outcomes, and why you might want to keep him happy, considering he's the one person who could play a significant role next season... and on top of that, knowing that group of seniors wasn't going to win shit, much less make it out of the first weekend.
Don't want the players driving the bus, he could transfer anyway, etc etc... but coaches have less leverage than ever when it comes to doing things they've always done before and not adjusting on the fly.
