Because they got Darren Waller out of it. Waller is much more consistent than Toney is.

Waller is also constantly injured...

I'll rally around him when he gets his head on straight. He looked like the ghost of Josh Gordon last night.

Toney was wide open anytime he was on the field last night. Gordon was never open.

Patrick's mouth was also wide open after every throw to this piece of shit.

Normally, I'd agree with you. But Toney acted like a clown in the offseason towards the Giants by acting like they made this big mistake in trading him and then played like he did last night...it's not a good look.

He also dropped everything that was thrown at him.

Still love me some KT and feel last night will be a one-off game and he'll bounce back but he's grown and can take the heat he's earned

Chiefs fans found out why last night. Toney was a clown in NY and he will continue to be a clown in KC. Coach Daboll was even playing his garbage rap music over the loudspeaker in practice trying to connect with him and get on board but he is what he is.

The punt returns and the Euphoria of winning a Superbowl had Chiefs fans blinded for a while. We got Darren Waller for the pick we traded for Toney. We're loving that on the east coast. Good Riddance to that fool.

Thanks for knocking off the Eagles by the way.

It's a good point, that SB win really "blinded" us into thinking we won the trade. In reality everyone wins. We got another SB thanks to his epic punt return, and you got an injury-prone TE who can elevate you from total irrelevance to "losing in the Wild Card" irrelevance. Good times.

Amen.

Removing his twitter only tells me he knows he needs to focus in and ignore the noise. Lean on your teammates and coaches for support and get back to the grind.

Are we sure he deactivated after last night’s game? I remember he had that issue a bit ago where he was responding to DMs with voice notes and then claimed he got hacked lol maybe he deactivated back then?

This place never ceases to amaze me...:doh!:

I get it...I was pissed too. If last night's WR issues continue for the next 2-3 weeks, especially once Kelce is back, I will become concerned--but let's put this into perspective.

It was not a good showing, but it is one nonconference game. Young WRs pissed themselves without Kelce's steadying influence. However, people forget. We lost games last year when, arguably, one was due to a crucial Kelce drop and another a Chris Jones penalty. Yet those two guys, along with Toney, were pretty instrumental in beating the Eagles in February.

It's a long season. If last night becomes a pattern, I'll get concerned. Meanwhile, let's give Toney a chance to knock off the rust, Kelce a chance to heal, Veatch and the FO a chance to figure out how to get CJ back on the field. Let's see where we are at by late October or so, before we all lose our minds.
