Widening the gap in the score, is not normally an Andy Reid allowance

RunKC 09-01-2023 05:03 PM

I didn't realize that Jared Goff has never played at Arrowhead before. It's the only stadium he hasn't played in.

Yeah that's not gonna be good pal

Of course, I'll bet a stack of hundreds as tall as me that he tries to disguise his looks often, but he's going to run a lot of man, probably.

So this might be a better test than I originally thought, especially if they try to jam our WRs a lot. Should be a good test to start the season.

They're ****ed if they try to run that ROFL

I'm pretty sure it'll be a close game. If I bet the game, I'd probably pick the under. A lot depends on just how physical your DL/OL play, imo. If they come out firing, the way they did in the couple games i saw last season (sometime after Week 14?), they'll be a tough out for KC. Your guys were really violent at the snap in those games. Was fun to watch.

I think it'll be high scoring, especially if Jones isn't in there. Goff looked like a legit QB for the first time in a long time towards the end of last year, and if we can't pressure him without blitzing they're gonna score on us. Could end up being a shootout.

Stryker 09-01-2023 07:22 PM

Lions have probably one of the better Olines in the NFL. With JG and Amon St whatever the **** this team is projected to win their division over GB, MINN and Chicago. I think we will win but it will be very close like the last preseason game against the Stains.

HC_Chief 09-01-2023 07:55 PM

Vermeil Chiefs. These guys can score a shitload of points, but will give up same/more. Best case scenario for Detroit in this game: high scoring shootout. Worst case: KC boat race.

Ah, yeah, I agree. I had a brainfart; i meant I'd bet DET to cover, not the Under. If CJ doesn't play, I have a feeling it's going to be a little bit of a shootout. Maybe even if he does; he probably isn't in game shape yet.

Maybe even some 4 wide 1 te sets. We are 100% going to stretch defenses out even more this year.

I think this is why they let Brown leave. They knew he was ass in pass pro. If we have 3/4 WR on the field running different route trees someone is going to open up 2-5 seconds each play. I do think we see more delayed handoff/wheel routes from RB's this year too.

I talked myself into it... Mahome is going to set all time TD/Passing Yards record this year and win back to back MVP's

Ive never thought Brown was very good. I feel bad for Joe Burrow.

I’ll stick with the trends of Mahomes in 5 opening day starts:

121/167 (avg 72.5% completion percentage)
1542 yards (avg 308.4 ypg)
18 TDs (avg 3.6 TDs per game)
0 INTs
Passer Rating: 136.86

Chiefs - 189 (avg 37.8ppg)
Oppo - 124 (avg 24.8ppg)

Let's hope we don't play with a "SB hangover" against these guys because the Lions 'will run on us'(with success) I assure you especially with CJ being out. They have nothing to lose and everything to play for to spark their 'rise from the cellar' tour. Just saying.

Megatron96 09-02-2023 06:10 PM

DET has some pretty nice offensive weapons, they say they've dramatically improved their secondary, and they think they have a top-5 OL. Without CJ, this Lions team is kind of built to play a team like ours.

Fortunately, it's a non-conference game, so a loss isn't that big of a deal. We were going to probably lose 3-4 games anyway, CJ or no.

I'm rooting for the lions to overcome their 0-1 start and win their division.

I'd go for that. But nah, 1-0 sounds better.
