Just when they broadcast sporting events of interest.

I still watch Sports Center when Scott Van Pelt hosts.

Megatron96 07-03-2023 05:12 PM

SC w/ SVP and the guys on after him are the only shows i consistently watch. Sometimes I watch Get Up! with Greeny, but only very occasionally.

I think the rest of their shows are basically unwatchable.

I watch Sportscenter. 5 years ago or so ESPN got the memo that people want more Sportscenter back. It was kinda becoming like MTV without music videos.

Mark Jackson out as well from ESPN.

ESPN is closing in on promoting Doris Burke to the NBA Finals, hiring Doc Rivers to join her and laying off Mark Jackson, The Post has learned.

In the wake of Jeff Van Gundy’s firing in late June, ESPN set their eyes on making Burke the first woman TV analyst on the NBA Finals and hiring Rivers to join Hall of Fame play-by-player Mike Breen.

The deals are not finalized, but are quickly moving in that direction.

This left Jackson in peril. Sources said that plans to put him on the network’s “B” team alongside Mark Jones fell apart in part due to the hope of getting more game reps for JJ Redick and Richard Jefferson.

ESPN declined to comment.

Hall of famer Doris Burke

What do we think will become of ESPN in the long run??

They will slowly circle the drain by broadcasting live sports. The core of their brand is dead by the Internet.

Wonder if this is a voluntary or forced retirement...

He looked terrible last time I saw him on screen. Both in health and doing the gig.

About 20 years too late. But I’m guessing it’ll be replaced by something even worse.
