Let me be clear. I like Dane about 100,000x more than I like R8ers. Dane said something about filming R8ers daughter in a porno. R8ers daughter is 12. I'd love to ban R8ers for something but it's not going to be for that.

Flopnuts owned his by pleading guilty, apologizing to those who were offended and accepting his ban. Pleading guilty alone isn't owning it. Reversing your decision, apologizing to Hootie, and letting Hootie sink or swim as a regular member instead of a second class citizen would be owning it. Of course, if apologizing to the guy would be too humbling, I'd personally be satisfied if you reversed the decision on the basis of overwhelming board sentiment and let Hootie have a fresh start as a member without a bullseye on his back.

I didn't say command them, I'd strongly encourage it. I feel like you showed favoritism or a lack of objectiveness to a member of the forum by allowing the people he was supposed to stay away from, to respond to him unprovoked. The probationary terms were designed to make Hootie a kinder, gentler user of this site... at least, I presume that was the intention. He was told to avoid those people.
