I'm just not as excited about this as anybody else. Wiggins is the ONLY player on the Cavs right now that can give Lebron a break on defense. At this point in his career, that's mission critical.

That's how I feel.

Fine. You can also have Corey Brewer.

Better?

I would assume there has to be a third team involved if Wiggins is in it. Someone to take Martins contact and another player for the Cavs(defensive big). We would have to give up probably three or four guys and a few first round picks.

RustShack 07-17-2014 09:45 PM

Cavs don't have any cap space.

Titty Meat 07-17-2014 09:48 PM

Lakers got a nice front court

RustShack 07-17-2014 09:57 PM

Wiggins is still with #Cavs and I expect that to be the case for the foreseeable future.

What's the point in posting that? He's obviously still a cav, but the only way you are getting Love is if you give him up

I hope this is sarcasm.

Boozer is just a name. He was my least favorite Bull. I suppose he could have just sucked as bad as he did because he was pissed about Taj getting all of the 4th quarter minutes but still...he sucked last year. Below replacement level bad.

Because be covers the Cavs and doesn't expect Wiggins to be traded? And after the game today Blatt said again it's just rumors.

Hootie 07-17-2014 10:33 PM

at first I was like..."are they really gonna not trade Wiggins for Love?!"

and then I read that piece over at Grantland and I'm starting to sway back towards the "let it ride with Wiggins" bandwagon.

LeBron specifically left Wiggins off the letter.

LeBron has reached out to Love.

You're smart enough to figure out the rest.

People are overstating Wiggins' defense. You'd really take a rookie's defense over elite scoring and elite rebounding? Even if he's the greatest rookie ever on defense, I'd still easily rather have Kevin Love.

I actually agree. I think Love makes them an instant contender but Wiggins was one of the top HS prospects in years for a reason. He's extremely talented. It may take less than 2 or 3 years for him and LeBron to really become a scary combo. They could really fly around and wreck havoc on both ends of the floor. Playing with LeBron will probably be better for Wiggins in the short term than taking over a rebuilding project.

But, LeBron is going to get what he wants. Love is only 25 years old, and the Cavs will need more in the frontcourt to win. But if they don't get Love it's not the end of the world.

Meh. Either way it's a win/win for the Cavs. ****. It was a win as soon as LeBron "came home."

I'm just a greedy **** and now I want to see what Wiggins would do with LeBron. I already know what Love is. Wiggins best chance at being a superstar is LeBron.

I'm still excited to watch it...but suddenly the unknown is a lot more intriguing to me than what I already know. Wiggins is an intrigue. Love is a known. Sign me up for the intrigue.

but if they land Love without giving Wiggins consider me annoyed. I'm pretty tired of the super team concept.

Hootie 07-17-2014 10:43 PM

oh and I think I got a little hard when Simmons talked about Wiggins developing into LeBron's Pippen.

I'd love to see that again.
