That's just how it is.

Your analogies are pretty weak, fellas.

That's fair, and the fact that I have no allegiance to a NCAA program may cloud my vision a bit when it comes to your side of the argument.

I can see both sides of this, and it really comes down to personal perspective.

Fair enough. :)

If the teams played once a year in each sport in perpetuity, and if both sides were halfway competitive, the rivalry would continue.

But it would likewise fade if it became infrequent to be renewed or if one team suffered a decline.

KK is talking about how KU fan is upset that KU's chancellor called and begged MU to stay in the Big 12.

I am, but I don't dwell on that. My students call me by my first name, last name, or whatever.

A PhD at Mizzou doesn't count towards being a Dr. ROFL

In my field, it's a top 5-10 program in the nation. KU doesn't have a credible program.

What's someone with a PhD doing posting on a message board in the middle of the day?

I really should be working. However, classes have been out and I'm currently not under a grant contract. I have been working on a few reports and SHOULD work on them more diligently.

Quite honestly, this Big 10 thing has been a HUGE distraction.

You may have talked to this before, but what affect, if any, do you think a move to the Big10 would have on the value of your PhD? I've heard people say that their degree would suddendly "be worth more".
