If the pain lessens when you eat than all arrows point to a hyetal hernia.

Tums help --- BUT --- I've heard several people say they had friends die from a heart attack after thinking it was heartburn...

It's right up under the ribs, then even moves up the chest --- straight into the throat sometimes...

I understand but tums won't help tight chest pains on the left side caused by heart disease.
