Yes, forgot about him. Tape is so good though I don't think it would matter.

The biggest takeaways is that Conerly, Benton, and Ersery meet the 34" threshold now.

I don't know how much stock I put in the whole arm length thing. I mean, long arms are obviously a good thing but who decided 34" is the exact cutoff point? Seems a bit arbitrary.

My opinion on Conerly is based on watching him play. I think he plays a little "undersized". There's just times that the looks physically overmatched. He made up for it with smarts and technique but there were times he looked "out of place".

I mean I have no idea how long Joe Thuney's arms are but you could tell by watching him play that he looked undersized for a tackle.

Yeah, I don't think I would trade up in the first AT ALL. I'd love to trade DOWN and pick up some extra capital.

I just don't see anyone likely to be in striking distance that's head and shoulders above several other guys that would just fall to you.

I think rounds 2-3 are really the sweet spot in this draft. Lots of good player potential, but few day one stars.

Depends on who falls. There’s always 2-3 guys that tumble and this year will be no different.

Veach has done really well trading up in the draft. With the depth of this DT class, I could see a top tier guy slipping to the early 20s and it not taking that much to go get him.

We only gave up 29, 94 and 121 to go to 21.

We could absolutely get to the late teens with a 2.

This seems to be the chart they follow fairly closely and it shows us going up to 19 with 31 and 63. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp

There are at least 2-3 top level guys at that point and based on prior history, I EXPECT Veach to go get his guys.

It's not about how much stock you or I put into it, that's not the point. The Chiefs/Andy clearly put a ton of stock in it, and it could be the difference in whether they take a guy or not.

The chart is great for evaluating trades, but don't forget that some teams, maybe even most, won't trade with us in the draft, or at least will demand high premiums. I feel like we have the Bills scared to death of us in the draft so much that they might just refuse any offer.

I think at this point, the only good offers we might get will be for other teams wanting to trade up. In fact, we might even be able to command a nice premium in such trades. I think the Chiefs should be open to it. We have several positions where we need to bring in some talent and more picks would be good for the Chiefs.

We've really only got 5 picks in this draft.

Nobody knows what Veach will do, but we need bodies.

I think this is a decent draft, but it's not top heavy, it's DEEP at positions of need like DL and RB. That second rounder and the two thirds should absolutely get you 3 good players. I'd hate to spend one of those bets to go up and get a guy, but if that's the way it plays out, so be it.

Absolutely agree. I wouldn't question Veach if he made a move up, but it just seems like we would do much better trading #31 and getting as many mid/late 2nd round and 3rd round picks as possible.

Pretty much how I feel. I wouldn't trade up this year but if they do, I trust them.

Should be able to grab sky moores replacement in the second. Someone with his skill set who can come in and give us his contribution. Should we decide to move on from him.

RunKC 03-29-2025 11:22 AM

I think this is exactly what is gonna happen. Couple of QB’s and TE’s, Neanty and a big run on DL, then there will be a 3-4 pick run on WR’s + Hampton.

Good spot to trade up for our guy around 26.

Much rather trade down at #31 than trade up.

xztop123 03-29-2025 12:03 PM

We may have to trot Mike caliendo out there to play left tackle if our plan fails.
