And nobody's prime lasts forever, not even LeBron's. It's hard to argue too much against taking that shot while you've got him.

in the next few years, we are going to see if his body can withstand the wear and tear of going deep into seasons. It should be interesting. On one hand, its like his body should be able to withstand it, but on the other, if he just to damned big and the body said this shit is taking to much of a pounding and starts to give on him slowly.

Lebron's a thick dude and his achillies, knee's ankles and body in generally get pushed to extremes.

Carmelo wasn't a sign and trade. It was a straight deal. A sign and trade is what Miami did with LeBron, etc.

Anthony signed a three year extension with Denver then immediately was traded to the Knicks. I don't know what else to call it.

Anyone read the Grantland piece on this debate? Great stuff. I liked this part from Bill Simmons' take:

Couldn’t your team blossom like the Blazers did last season? Remember when we thought LaMarcus Aldridge was fleeing Portland … right until it turned into a playoff team and made the second round? What if that’s Minnesota next season? It’s not inconceivable, right?

LeBron will not have the rim rattling athleticism he currently does, but as he continues to develop his post game and his shooting from 15-25 feet, he can affect the game in different ways, especially with his passing.

Putting him on the elbow as a point forward allows him to still beat 4's off the dribble, even with declining athleticism, use his body to back them down, or utilize his amazing passing skills. There's no reason why he can't remain a spectacularly efficient offensive player.

And speaking of Simmons, holy Christ was the BS Report with Boogie Cousins bad. I usually try to avoid athlete interview because they are so vapid on the whole, but I had some time around lunch today. Jesus ****, he is one of the dumbest mother****ers to ever sully the Earth.

That will never ****ing happen, but I prefer it to Waiters, Bennett, and some lousy draft picks

Those lousy draft picks would likely include Miami's first rounder which would be unprotected in 2017, exactly when they'll be ****ing horrible.

Wiggins, Bennett, and miami's 1 would do it.

Irving, miller, Lebron, and love would be outstanding.

Wait... isn't that tampering?

EDIT: nope.

okcchief 07-17-2014 06:28 PM

I figured this would happen sooner or later. Can't blame Cleveland for trying to keep Wiggins but come the **** on. There was no reason for Minnesota to even consider these reported garbage offers.

This gives Minnesota a potential star to build around though I'm still not personally sold on Wiggins at worst he's a very solid player. It puts the Cavs as a sure fire favorite in the East. Win Win.
