Can't be. Rustshack said that Wiggins could/would not be included.

And much like Ned Yost, never been wrong.

This guy says it might look something like Wiggins-Bennett-first rounder-and possibly Hayward just to make the contracts work out.

It's going to be awkward for Wiggins having to play tonight with this news out there (Bennett too). If he actually does, that is.

Wolves can't ask for much more than that for 1 year of Love. I still wish Colangelo had the foresight to make this kind of deal before Bosh bolted.

While I would rather Wiggins stayed in Cleveland it'll be great to have Rust STFU if Wiggins is traded.

Not that Rusty will learn from it or anything.

KC_Connection 07-17-2014 02:00 PM

As much as I think it makes a ton of sense to keep Wiggins and develop him, adding a top 10 NBA player in Love would make the Cavs a 60+ win team, the clear favourites in the East, and an obvious championship contender right beside SAS/OKC. And nobody's prime lasts forever, not even LeBron's. It's hard to argue too much against taking that shot while you've got him.

Cavs must be unimpressed by meaningful summer league games

This is exactly the point I've been making. Yes, Wiggins would be great in Cleveland. But, Lebron wants to win and Love does that NOW. Cleveland would be crazy to not go all in with Lebron. If Min demands Wiggins, you give them Wiggins.

I'd be happy with that deal.

As I've said for months now, I agree with people like Bill Simmons who say that when a superstar player is traded, the team who trades him is usually the team who gets the short end of the stick. That's just how it works in the NBA. Stars are the backbone of any dynasty.

Love wasn't going to stay. So we had to get at least SOMETHING in return.

And looking at potential packages that could have been had all offseason, I'm not sure if there are many situations where the Wolves would have done better than what they might potentially receive from Cleveland if Wiggins is involved in the trade.
