Top recruits will want to play for us no matter what.

KU is considered CBB royalty, though. Winning championships is pretty hard. Royalty is defined by the ability to be in position to win it year in and year out. Very few schools have more NC's than KU. Only 2 have won more games in the history of CBB. But we already know this.

If KU wasn't good at anything, I don't think MU fans would pay a bit of attention to them. Think ISU.

All this KU talk jeez. It is obvious that football is king in matters such as this. No reason to waste time thinking otherwise. I don't think Gill is a bad hire for them. They are not going to be awesome but I think thats a great hire for the situation they are in.

I have a friend who works at a Lawrence media outlet and they are shitting themselves over the idea of lost traffic and interest if KU goes to a "lesser" conference. Some scared folks on the other side of the border.

I don't have a problem thinking of KU has CBB royalty. They have earned it. However with that said, their fans CBB-centric view on everything clouds their perspective on a lot of stuff.

Why would I think ISU? Kansas vs Missouri is one of the most hate-filled rivalries in the country. Talking shit on and hating each other has been a tradition for multiple generations.

Where would KSU end up? Potentially the Mountain West too?

If KU was good at nothing, it wouldn't be a rivalry.

The MWC tournament is held on the campus of UNLV. Could make for a fun road trip annually.

It's a rivalry in football. It's not in basketball.
