Again, why is it such a big deal if he actually does hold out until midseason? Short term it has the potential to swing an early game or two but long term it does us far more good. And the Colts have introduced a neat little wrinkle to the game. Wanna be an asshole and fake injury? Alright, bet, hop on that NFI list and we can do the same song and dance next year. Your choice, bitches.

If no Jones, what does the money do for the rest of the team?
'24 FA Sneed - Let him walk Gay - Sign (assuming it's not too expensive) Townsend - Sign (assuming its not too expensive '25 FA Creed - Extend/Sign Trey - Extend/Sign Bolton - Extend/Sign We'd still have some good money to spend in FA. Do we attack DT? Do the numbers game thing that we're doing with WRs and Secondary? |

Don't you think there's a decent chance that Jones is using Omenihu's suspension as a pressure point? "Hey, the team might be in a bind here. I could A) Step up and help us through it or B) Use it to add a few more bucks to my deal and potentially mess up a season where I'm being paid $20 million. B sounds aces to me!" |

The Michael Bay post was more ominous than we thought

Maybe he’s still elite by the end of this year but I know what the past says and it says that DTs start to trend down pretty significantly in the NFL after age 30… Sorry I don’t want an albatross of a contract for maybe 1, 2 years of elite play if we’re lucky… |
