While they are not as dominant as they used to be, to be called irrelevant is a stretch. Try finding another program to knock.

They played in a game that they had no business being in.

Wow

Missouri will have played 2 ranked teams this year.

Kansas plays 4 ranked teams (probably 5 being that Oklahoma is "26")

I wonder if we will tear down the goalposts the next time we beat one of them?

Say what you want but they were undefeated and did it playing a difficult schedule. They deserved to be there whether those who dislike ND want to believe it or not. Were they outmatched by Alabama? Sure but that does not mean they did not deserve to be there.

No, I'm making fun of the Golden Flamers. Irrelevant for 20 years and no end in sight. I pray this type of fall never happens to KU basketball

I'm sure Notre Dame will have the 1st and 3rd picks in the draft any year now.

Umm, not sure if serious.

And no conference that does not have a championship game should ever send two teams. That is colossily stupid.

No. Baylor losing to coal aggie is a bigger mark against them that TCU losing to Baylor. If TCU wins out then we should be in the playoff.

Actually the Big 12 began playing Confrence football games in the fall of 1996. K-State vs. Texas Tech was the very first game. (Feel free to look it up)

One would think a Big 12 affecianado, such as yourself, would know such things.

So apparently for some, "it is that complicated."

I said the Flamers have been irrelevant for 20 years because they have been. Lets leave KU basketball out of this since that's not even a fair fight. Lets talk about KU football here. Over the past 20 years:

BCS Wins: Kansas 1, Flamers 0
AP Top 10 finishes: Kansas 2, Flamers 2
Years before firing Charlie Weis: Kansas 2, Flamers 5

Sagarin has 11 SEC teams in the top 30.

Kansas has overtaken Missouri State in Sagarin, so the Terry Allen back to kU talk must stop for at least a week.

Not bad for KU's secondary sport.

Do they spend more on basketball than football?

Per player and fan I'm sure they do.
