I agree. Again, and this may be an excuse for Geno supporters, but a lot of people were seeing Geno for the first time in that bowl game. I don't think its that crazy to understand that Geno supporters knew this was coming and wanted people to realize he shouldn't be judged by that game alone. I don't think it was as much about saying "hey you can't hold a QB responsible in bad weather with a bad defense."
I really just think it was a perfect storm. You had people who liked Geno knowing some would judge him on that game and they were ready to defend him with their life before the game even started. I know there are some that feel they have seen issues outside of the bowl game and that's fine, but the entire situation happened out of fear that people would judge him on that game alone.
The game counted and the results really happened. I don't think its an argument that the weather cancels it out. I think the argument really is that while the weather counts, you should realize you can't judge his potential upside on that game alone.
