National title game in football, it is to be expected

Since the Big 12 began they have been involved in the national title game way more than any conference by percentage. Will they get two in the show this year? Looking likely but we'll have to see how it plays out.

Between 1996-2014, Big 12 appeared in the National Title Game nine times going 3-6, with Nebraska, OK & Texas winning titles in 98, 01 & 06.

During that same time span, SEC appeared in 13 title games going 10-4 (2 SEC teams played in Title game in 2012).

Not exactly sure how that "percentage" favors Big 12 schools ??

SEC has more wins than the Big 12 has appearances. Big 12 has more losses than any other conference, though.

Congrats to the Kansas football Jayhawks, they are clearly off the schnide and rolling, having now won 4 of their last 49 conference games.

And whew, if this isn't rock bottom for Iowa State, what would be? 2 of those 4 Kansas wins have come against Iowa State in Lawrence. I suppose we will all have to wait for Homershack to tell us that things aren't as bad as they appear and that this isn't the lowest point since Gene Chizik declared himself a missing person and hopped a redeye to Alabama.
