That looks like a little slice of heaven right there, Inmem... catch anything besides a buzz?

Yeah it was a decent day. I caught 4 (threw 1 back), Pops caught 3 (biggest fish of the day) and my bro got himself 1.

I was day dreaming about fishing and the outdoors just yesterday, barely got out at all last year and thats going to change in a big way next time around

Plan to be outdoors more this summer than ever before, even planning a 'bushcraft' weekend where I go out, build a primitive shelter, practice making fire with sticks, use my Sawyer water filter for something besides monkeying with vodka etc, make a 3 day weekend out of it... really looking forward to it

Right on bud!

Looks like a beautiful day in NorCal, and it also looks like that one fish has two dinner sized filets on him... maybe they're starting to bite, dont quit now!

What kind of man made canal are you on there, used for irrigation maybe?

I’m at the California Aqueduct (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Aqueduct). I think she was pregnant, definitely had a nice pot belly. I tossed it back, wasn’t long enough to keep.

Thanks for that link, and good call on following the law and letting her go make more fun catches

Going to Texoma next week to look at a cabin(mobile home) for sale. $31,500 . Can't beat that. 3 minutes from boat ramp.

I fly fish pretty much exclusively. Summers in Alaska, I fly fish up here for trout, char and grayling. And in the winter, I try to do some saltwater fly fishing.

This is a 35-40 pound tarpon I got a few days ago in Belize. Caught it on a Deceiver using a 9' 10# rod (Loomis NRX, if you're interested. Great casting rod). Water was clear so I could see him take the fly about 15 feet away from me. Fought him for about 15 minutes. He made several good runs and leaps. Great fish.
