I don’t know about that. He’s a great player, en elite one. Teams don’t hold players liable for holdouts if they’re good enough.

Things got ugly between the Bengals and Jessie Bates last year and he still got an elite S contract TOs cycle, for example.

Plenty of teams out there with a ton of salary cap space to use up. Those teams are generally terrible, but at least they’d have a new shiny object to fill some extra seats. Chris can show up week 8 if he wants to, but when he does he better put up 10 sacks to finish out the season cause I want his value to remain high for some idiot franchise that likely has a QB issue to lust over.

This may have been discussed already in this megathread, but I'm not digging for it. It's interesting to see that the Browns have suddenly cleared a bunch of cap space. They need help on the DLine. I wonder if they're trying to swing a trade for Jones? I know that Veach says that he's not being traded. But we've heard that plenty only to see the player traded soon after
