Probably what they will be. But if any two teams can do it, it’s them.

That is what I saw in the first super bowl

True. But it wouldn't be that hard to have moved KC to 4pm like they did with other games. Personally it doesn't matter to me but if I was a Titans fan I would be frustrated. Usually they do a good job making sure all games affecting each other are moved to the same time slot.

Titans fans should like the fact our game is at noon. They want the Chiefs to win---this gives Houston no incentive to play their starters Sunday since Houston will be locked into the 4 seed.

I know Houston is saying they are playing to win...but I would be willing to be that when the Chiefs win, their attitude will change.

After looking at the possible AFC matchups. The Bills vs Texans seems like a natural for Saturday afternoon on ABC. Titans vs Chiefs in Sunday noon also makes sense. You know the Cowboys vs 49ers gets the prime spot while Vikings vs Seahawks gets the late game Saturday.

My prediction:

Saturday:
3:30 - Bills @ Texans
7:15 - Vikings @ Seahawks

Sunday:
Noon - Titans @ Chiefs
3:30 - 49ers @ Cowboys

O.city 12-28-2019 07:47 PM

Don’t they usually have afc early one day and late the next ?

scho63 12-29-2019 03:29 PM

Buffalo goes to Houston and the final seed #6 goes to New England next week in wild card weekend. Either Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers or Oakland Raiders

We will either play the Pats, Bills or Texans in round 2. If Pats win against the Texans we will face them. If they lose then we play the winner of Houston and Buffalo

Paniero 12-29-2019 03:47 PM

Patriots have to play the wild card weekend for the first time since 2009.

Marco Polo 12-29-2019 03:48 PM

So we ultimately get the winner of New England versus TBD?

NO; we have to play the HIGHEST remaining seed out of the 4 teams.

Baltimore gets the lowest seed, whoever that is.

So if a #6 knocks off New England, the #6 would then go to Baltimore.

We would play the winner of the #4 vs #5

If Patriots win, they are coming to Kansas City.

Chiefs won't get the early game on Saturday, that will be Baltimore. Chiefs/Pats is way too sexy for that time frame.

T-post Tom 12-29-2019 10:36 PM

Fantasy matchup for me: Chiefs demolish Pats in divisional round and then beat the Texans in the AFCCG. Lamar Hunt trophy won at home. Finally. And then a short flight from Miami to Arrowhead for the Lombardi Trophy. SB victory parade thru downtown KC is going to be epic.

Russell Wilson just spanked the 49ers D for an entire half without a real RB, TE, or LT, and you think Andy Reid, a far more brilliant offensive mind will get "spanked" by them?

Isn't it usually an AFC game, and a NFC game, on each day? That schedule is AFC all on Saturday, and NFC all on Sunday.

I guess the NFL thinks AFC teams need an extra day to prepare for Mahomes and Jackson.

Tannehill has been pretty on fire though. In terms of purely passing the ball you could argue he's been doing it as well as anyone. We'll see how he does with playoff pressure. Him and AJ Brown have been an elite pairing.

Over his last 7 games he's something like 16 TD/2 INT.

For the season he's completing 70% of his passes. And doing that while leading the league in yards per pass. He's the first QB since Joe Montana in 1989 to complete 70% of his passes and average over 9 yards per attempt. It's only the 3rd time in the history of the NFL someone has done that.

I think this is how it plays out... and it's not a dig on KC just to dig on KC.

Bills defeat the Titans, while the Texans defeat the Patriots.
Ravens defeat the Bills.
Chiefs defeat the Texans.
AFCCG - Ravens defeat the Chiefs.

Seahwaks defeat the Vikings, while the Saints defeat the Eagles.
49ers defeat the Seahawks.
Saints defeat the Packers.
NFCCG - Saints defeat the 49ers.

Ravens battle the Saints in the SB... Saints pull it out and win the SB.

I think the conference championship games will be pretty epic and while I don't care which team goes from the AFC, I definitely see the Saints making it all the way and winning it this season, whether they play KC or BAL right now.
