Outside of the first and match last, a forgettable PPV.

Also whoever said Del Rio got canned for slapping an employee should go take some laps. No way they bring him back if he pulled that shit.

Jerm 10-26-2015 06:56 AM

Well they fired the guy he had an issue with and they need a Mexican star so boom there you go...Del Rio is back.

Show was largely meh, liked the Taker/Brock match...can't believe they both bladed though. Hard to take Wyatt seriously when he loses every match...

That did happen. 100% confirmed by both Del Rio and the WWE.

I have no idea what the financial circumstances were for Del Rio to come back to the company. Like, Del Rio is still, as we speak, the AAA Mega Champion. This is an awkward situation all around.

Vince will bring back literally anybody if he thinks it can make him a dime. And as a few others have said, it's widely confirmed that Del Rio was let go for smacking a guy.

mcaj22 10-26-2015 11:36 PM

where's that guy who gave me shit that Del Rio walked out on them versus WWE firing/releasing him like I said?

They brought him back because they released him, I was right, WWE/Vince has been doing this crap since the 80s with guys (Hogan, Warrior, etc) they probably gave him a good deal to come back, they need the ratings and they had him beat Cena CLEAN. That never happens, ever. So they promised Del Rio some nice shine.

Also James Storm debuting on NXT is awesome.

Seems odd for modern day WWE.

Not sure why either side really wanted to get together again, outside of lots of money for Del Rio.

Swanman 10-27-2015 08:04 AM

I watched the first episode of Breaking Ground on the network and it was really good. If you wonder why the female wrestlers are so good down there, look no further than their trainer, Sara Del Ray. She was an amazing independent wrestler and looks to be a great trainer as well. They also have Adam Pearce and Brian Kendrick as trainers, so a couple more former independent guys.

ragedogg69 10-27-2015 10:07 AM

So Tyler Breeze debuted last week on smackdown. Anybody see it? I only watch NXT and he was amzing on that, but got completely buried the last few months. That does not bode well for him on the main roster.

Yes I did. He came out as the new man of Summer Rae and interrupted MIZTV when Summer and Dolph were having an argument. Breeze then beat down Dolph pretty well. Good showing (I think) for Breeze. Showed some aggression and did not change anything about him coming from nxt to main roster.

I watched it as well. Very good show. Corbin is a complete dick. Ex-chief SABBY PISCATELLI!!!!! is trying to become a wrestler and he was featured. overall cool show.

I think they knew Breeze was set to get called up soon, so they didn't want him to be in the title picture. It's the same reason Enzo & Big Cass aren't tag champs right now; they were set to get called up real soon, before Big Cass injured his leg.

ragedogg69 10-27-2015 01:42 PM

I am sure you are right, but damn, Breeze was like 1-4 at Takeovers. Throw him a bone.

That is the big problem I have with Triple H being like "it is no longer a developmental league."

Sassy Squatch 10-27-2015 01:53 PM

yea but he rarely ever loses CLEAN, always some stupid ending if he does lose. He also has something like a 79/80% win rate for his career. He never loses and he never loses clean. But if he's going to lose, it's going to be to a guy that was promised something. In this case Del Rio.

The Liger deal was tough. You have to put Liger over, given it's his first ever appearance with WWE (was on WCW way back when). However, I wouldn't have necessarily fed Tyler Breeze to him.

Breeze also had some huge wins, the biggest one I can remember was beating Zayn for the number one contender spot. He just didn't win much on the specials.

After that win, all of his matches were either losses or he would get his ass kicked the whole match and then threw a beauty shot out of nowhere to win. But hey, if they give Tyler a decent program on the main roster, who cares? I would have preferred he didnt become the go to guy to put over all the indy darlings.

ragedogg69 10-28-2015 08:16 PM

I ****ing hate tag team matches, but that match on NXT tonight was wonderful. Jordan and Gable are amazing.

mcaj22 10-29-2015 07:02 AM

told you WWE gave him an offer he couldnt refuse

Quote:

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

New WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio reportedly signed a new deal with a $1,450,000 per year downside, with a reduced schedule. Del Rio is getting the big money because WWE feels like they really need a Hispanic star.

Del Rio is still the AAA Mega Champion and AAA could not match WWE's offer. Del Rio wanted to keep a good relationship with AAA while still keeping his WWE return a secret and told AAA officials Dorian Roldan and Konnan about his decision on either the evening of October 24th or the morning of October 25th, which was Hell In a Cell Sunday. Del Rio claimed then that the deal was just put together and finalized, giving the impression that he would finish up his scheduled dates. AAA was disappointed but it appears there are no hard feelings.

Del Rio reportedly pushed for WWE to allow him to finish his scheduled dates. AAA had plans to do Del Rio vs. Jeff Jarrett in a hair vs. hair match on December 5th at Guerra de Titanes but now they are re-doing plans for that show. AAA is under the impression that Del Rio would be working the November 2nd show in Nuevo Laredo instead of WWE RAW in Denver, this coming Monday. If that does happen, it's because Del Rio insisted. Del Rio was scheduled for more AAA dates while WWE is in Europe but there's been no confirmation on whether or not he will be allowed to work them.

Jerm 10-29-2015 07:14 AM

Breeze should've been in Del Rio's spot on Sunday and won the U.S. Title...instantly puts him over and gives him credibility, there's a ready made feud for when Cena retains, and if he's not getting over you can always just drop the title back to Cena.

Vince is so afraid to take a chance with anything anymore it seems....

ragedogg69 11-03-2015 01:56 PM

2nd episode of Breaking Ground was on last night. Still good. It looks like they are going to focus on a single wrestler each week. I will take loner douchebag Baron Corbin over watching Dana Brooke go to the nail salon. Ugh.

Watching Regal get pissed over them ****ing up something so simple was wonderful. I have been there, both as the student and as the teacher. Also, how does anyone go to these tryouts with shitty cardio? Gator wrestler was winded after 3 rolls. That's embarrassing.

WWE top prospects for new WWE champ. (Assuming it isn't Reigns)

1. Kane
2. Big Show
3. Sheamus
4. Adam Rose

I would say if Zayn was ready to return start his push right there. Its too bad they fed Owens to the stale main eventers as he could slide right in as a main event monster heel.

Bryan, Cena, and Lesnar are the top three I'd put up there. Bryan has been cleared for quite some time now by an outside doctor, Cena is a phone call away, and Lesnar would just require another big payday.

Owens, Del Rio, Ambrose, Ziggler, Sheamus, Ryback. It's really not doomsday for WWE.

During attitude era they could compete a little bit with MNF. Not much, but a little. Nowadays, their only hope is a turd of a matchup that no one cares about. Even then, football season rules TV. I do love good pro wrestling, but man, when it sucks, it straight up sucks. When it's good, it's amazing.

Eva Marie challenged Bayley to a title match for next week. The crowd was loudly booing over every word Eva was trying to say. Just pure, distilled X-Pac heat.

I suspect the Eva angle is step one in setting up a big Bayley vs Nia Jax match.

according to the fans at the taping, it was was worse than what was aired. They edited out a "Shut the **** up" chant. The booing was so loud, you could not hear Eva on the PA system, which is why Bayley is leaning in to hear her. I am sure that is why she starts her promo over 4 times because she literally cannot hear herself talk. It was like a 2 sentence promo and she botched it. Such cringe.

I know this probably wouldn't happen but I would love to see Sara Del Rey come out of her retirement and have a teacher vs student match with Bayley. I loved her work in Ring of Honor and I assume her work in Shimmer was even better.

It has also been reported that Austin Aries has been seen at Full Sail, which is pure awesome. Gunner from TNA has also been seen there.

They book Wyatt like a chickenshit heel that always gets his upcommance eventually to the face.

He does this every feud, so they have no credibility anymore. Will need a long midtitle reign to rehab their image.

Nobody would buy into Bray Wyatt beating Brock Lesnar shortly after jobbing to 2 dudes nearing AARP age.

You can't have your most legitimate "badass" in the company lose to a jobber.

That's horrific business.

I was the biggest Bray Wyatt fan earlier on, but how they booked the Wyatt family is borderline criminal.

Having him job to Cena at WM a few years ago was one of the stupidest ****ing decisions Vince has made. That crowd was on fire for Bray Wyatt and Cena buried his ass. From there, they've mostly took a fat piss on him like R Kelly.

At this point, there are more deserving heels than Bray Wyatt. They need to hot shot the title to a solid face at RR and have Kevin Owens win the rumble. Kevin Owens has a very bright future as a top heel.

They need to take some time with Bray Wyatt and retool his character. Tone down some of the cartoony shit he does, shift focus from the Wyatt family onto more just Bray Wyatt and let him having a long midcard program with a vet like Randy Orton, when he returns.
