I believe it's on Showtime, the problem is the live gates are barely covering the payroll so the TV contract is their only margin. If they want to remain viable they have to keep putting on top notch shows or Showtime will not renew the deal. They can only ride a heavyweights only card so far.

But man, that tournament is going to be so bad ass. Throwback to the old Pride days.

UFC is putting on a badass card tomorrow night- I hope for a Vitor ko but won't get it, I hope Franklin ko's Forrest and Jones ko's Bader. I think I can get 2 out of 3.

The buyrate will be very telling for the UFC. This is as strong a card as they can put on without Lesnar, GSP, or past staples. I think 750k buys would be considered a big success.

This looks like a decent card and I'm going to invest. I just hope Silva gets his ass kicked.

Silva, probably. The other two are tomato cans.

I'm investing with the full knowledge that if Belfort/Silva don't spend a round feeling each other out it will end in the 1st. Jones/Bader is a very close 2nd to the main.

They were big draws at one time though is my point.

Actually Jones/Bader is the highlight of the card for me. Jones is like Silva, but he actually likes to engage.

Bones will beat Shogun, no disrespect to Shogun...I like him...I just don't see how he beats Jones.

He'll have to implement the Machida strategy and don't think he'll be able to do it, not with Jones' reach and the way he uses it.

I'm happy for Bones, been on his bandwagon since the beginning...it's scary how good he is already.

I don't know, Jones probably won't be able to submit him like he did with Balder and Shogun can take some shots. We'll see.

Like Griffin himself said, got the take down early and got to grind on him a bit. I think that was the key to the fight.

Griffin is such a putz. I've never seen a fight by him that left me impressed with what he did. The Shogun fight doesn't count either, as everyone knows that Shogun was fighting on one leg.

This is an overreaction to him winning tonight. He hasn't fought anyone of Shogun's caliber. Everyone was riding Machida's jock too and Shogun destroyed him twice.

Fact is, Shogun has a great chin and kicks and hits like a ****ing mule. If anything I don't see what Jones is going to beat Shogun with. Not if Shogun is healthy. Which has always been the only knock on Shogun.
