Now I can do 10 and am working on doing it with my eyes closed or turning my head right to left. Walking backwards turning my head right to left is still challenging.

Yeah, they have me staring at a point in space arm's length in front of me and quickly moving my head 45 degrees side to side. That's all they gave me. It's not giving me any relief at all in the short term so I'm having a lot of trouble understanding how this is a long-term fix.

I also had walking 10 paces doing that x 3 per day. I got good at it except when switching head direction. It's a process. JUST DO IT!

I feel for you guys and vertigo.....that has to be just frustrating as hell...

My first session had some interesting exercises....

See how many times I can stand up and sit down without using my hands in a 30 second period

Walk 6 minutes at a normal pace and then have your BP measured to see how it elevates

See how long I last on an EllipseFit style machine before my legs get tired

How many times can I lift 15 lbs to my chest from my waist before getting tired...

I had cool down periods between each item......and my BP was measured each time.

30 stand up/sit down without using my arms....

20 arm bends with 5 lb weight each arm...

10 pushups...

Nice workout! Very impressive!

Did you do real pushups like we did in hs gym class and boot camp or just from the knee up?

I doubt if I could do 2 of the real ones like when we were young.

Mosbonian 03-25-2025 03:53 PM

I did real pushups....I think my pride would not have let me do the knees up kind.

How has your trips to rehab gone? Anything getting better?

burt 03-27-2025 02:29 PM

I went yesterday. Dang these exercises get radically more difficult, but I realize challenging my system accelerates the healing. Last one I did, I did fairly easy. I aksed her, "My first visit, I don't think I could have done this, could I?" Her response was, "Absolutely not". It can be frusterating, but it helps that I see the results.

The start of my 2nd week of workouts was a real test...

Treadmill walk for 8 minutes at a medium pace...keeping the Watts level at 30...

Bicycle ride for 8 minutes at a medium pace....keeping the Watts level at 50...

Another version of the bicycle ride at a medium pace for 8 minutes...resistance greater and Watts level at 40...

Arm pedal only for 8 minutes with Watts at 35

30 leg lifts with a 10 lb weight on each leg...(this one stayed normal)

45 stand up/sit down without using my arms....

20 arm bends with 7.5 lb weight each arm...

15 pushups...

30 Step Up/Step down for each leg

Resistance bands height level- 20 pullbacks focusing on upper body strength

Resistance bands 9 feet - 20 pull downs again focusing on upper body strength
