The point was that there is more to being an all-time elite athlete than being able to jump high.

AD has been in the NBA for 8 years and he is the same guy he always has been. He is not going to give a MVP level performance every game, he hasn't ever done that.

I said last year they should have blown it up and traded AD and Lebron as they aren't winning shit without adding a couple of pieces. AD isn't going to dominate every night and Lebron is out there stat padding and playing no defense. Blow it up.

JJ is better than Ham. Wait until December 15. That's when players who signed as free agents become trade-eligible. Pelinka will surely trade for a good rebounder to help out AD.

LeBron hasn't played defense for years outside of the playoffs, but what does "stat padding" even mean in this context? He shouldn't be being asked to post 30 point triple doubles every game for that team to win at this stage of his career and it's not his fault that prime AD doesn't give a shit for half the games.

I'd love to see LeBron go be a role guy on a contender but that ship sailed years ago when he took full control of the Lakers organization to the point where he could push his son into a NBA roster spot.

And LeBron not playing defense is nothing new, he's 40 years old in year 22 and still takes on a massive offensive load for that team. What do you want him to do? Just completely take the nights off when AD decides he doesn't have it in him to try at all?

Last season, AD and LeBron were great. AD's PER (player efficiency rating) was #6 in the NBA, and LeBron was at #7. This season, AD is at #4, but LeBron is all the way down to #36. He will move up eventually.

They are all vultures seizing on a bad week for LeBron after over two decades of being a top 10 player in the NBA. Despicable quite honestly.

He was -28 last night and is -132 for the season. I am not trying to pile on I was just shocked down 40 while the rest of the backups were playing he was out there throwing up shots.

I do appreciate him saying he is going to try to play 82 games. I know people think that is dumb but if you buy a Lakers ticket you know he is going to show up and play unlike alot of the younger players. Load management and the chucking of 3 pointers has killed the NBA interest.

I was certainly glad to see him play in Toronto this year. It had been a few years since the last time he played there and the Lakers/Raptors game is one of the few ones I don't sell off at the beginning of the season on the chance that he'll play.

And blame your Steph Warriors for changing that. The Celtics have now taken it to complete extremes analytically and the rest of the league has or will follow them.

I will have to see if I can find that tweet from somebody that showed during the prime GS run they would be near the bottom of the league in 3pts attempts this season. Steph is 1 of 1 but every team now thinks they can shoot like him.

They don’t have to shoot like him to make it worth it. The Daryl Moreys of the world followed the Warriors’ example and realized taking as many threes as possible was the best analytic strategy.

Until the NBA steps in and makes 3PTers more difficult, this is the sport we’ve got.
