Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert suffered a hyperextended knee in Sunday’s loss to Denver, head coach Andy Reid said at his Monday press conference.

Albert’s injury is a “day-to-day situation,” Reid said.

"Albert has a knee"

Well, shit.

Glad we're opening against Detroit and not Buffalo or Cincy.

100% not true. You can walk in a straight line *without* an ACL.

Hopefully just a strain and feels a little loose, he misses Thursday and is back at it for JAX.

You can basically blowup your entire knee and walk on it, the achillies is the one that you can't.

If anybody collects the funko pops they got a Kelce.

If ever there was a week for this to happen, it’s this one. KC should move the ball and score relatively easily on that defense, Kelce playing or not. After that he will have some time to rest before week 2.

The chiefs must repair him! If any of my circuits or gears will help, I'll gladly donate them!

I'm refreshing this thread like a madman.

STill hoping this is one of those "Wow, that hurt at first, but now it feels normal," kind of things.

Anything more than that, just sit him and let him heal up until the CHI game. or whatever, as long as he's ready for the NYJ game when we'll actually need him.

Jesus...if it's really just a hyperextended knee....he's fine. I'm sure they are looking at any possibility, but if its just this, it is absolutlely nothing. A hyperextended knee is a 24-48 hour issue. When you look at stupid posts like David Montgomery being out 4-5 weeks for a hyperextended knee I'll give you a tip: (it wasn't a hyperextended knee, they just said that).
