So that means KT is practicing then? Nice.

Yeah but not alot go 4 wide with a TE that is also a WR basically. Defenses are not going to have 5 guys who can keep up with these groups every play.

This off-season the entire secondary save one safety was upgraded, and that was the weakness. And the one safety retained was a rookie last year, and was super good. D line is loaded with pass rushers. LB corps is stacked. Biggest question mark is DT and run defense.

They won't be a top 5 unit, but I expect top 12-15. Which is good enough if the offense can repeat its top 5 performance. I expect some regression there, but the team is built to compete with anyone. The Champs in Arrowhead is a tall task. KC should rightly be favored, but the game will be competitive. Throw in typical early season variance and I wouldn't be shocked to see an upset.

How many points did they give up to Geno Smith last year? Asking for a friend.

Excellent post. Goff is fake news.

He just BARELY eclipsed Matty Cassel and the 2010 fraud Chiefs. 29-7 instead of 27-7

Allen? He said you've never faced a QB like Mahomes and that definitely includes him

Still more than Charger fans.

I work with one of those. He doesn't say much - just drools a lot and mumbles about always going for it on fourth down.

I fired up a Madden 22 chise with updated rosters and moved the Lions to Mexico City...

So, apparently their DC is Aaron Glenn, a coach right off the Fangio/Parcells tree. However, in DET land, they say he likes to run a lot of man, single high S. So not a lot of two-high shell. Of course, I'll bet a stack of hundreds as tall as me that he tries to disguise his looks often, but he's going to run a lot of man, probably.

So this might be a better test than I originally thought, especially if they try to jam our WRs a lot. Should be a good test to start the season.

They are the only team in the league that even playing at home are still considered the visitors.

Decent analogy, nothing really to debate. Just like to add that we are so young and deep on D, we don't even know what to expect, especially in your house. This D is totally different from the first half of last season. Sure it will be heavy rotation on all three levels. If we are still in it in the fourth quarter, I'll feel pretty good.

I'm pretty sure it'll be a close game. If I bet the game, I'd probably pick the under. A lot depends on just how physical your DL/OL play, imo. If they come out firing, the way they did in the couple games i saw last season (sometime after Week 14?), they'll be a tough out for KC. Your guys were really violent at the snap in those games. Was fun to watch.
