Ugh - forgot about those.

How...just...how?

How can the same company responsible for this have also made Obi Wan, looked at it and thought "yeah - that's good..."?

I'd get it if they made ONLY shit. Or if they made only greatness. But how can they be this routinely hit or miss?

The Watch Podcast interviewed Gilroy and they're a really good listen.

The way Gilroy tells it is Disney has Andor on the books. Gilroy hears about the plot and writes a letter to Disney that says **** you you need to do it like this. He thought it would get shitcanned because it was a major change from what they had planned, but felt he needed to write it because he was passionate about Rogue One.

Well they hired him.

Moral of the story, they were going to make a crappy version, probably without a scene with the gravity of, "You didn't kill Anakin...I did." and corresponding fight scene. Probably just Diego Luna doing inexpicable dumb shit.

It seems a simple path for Disney to me.
Whatever Gilroy wants to do, you green light. Keep your hands off. Make the fans and critics happy. Pocket the profits.

Can Tony Gilroy figure out a way to 'dream sequence' the entire trilogy sequel out of existence?

Because that would be neat.

NICE! Thank you for this post Clay. I totally missed this.

As far as I'm concerned the sequels don't exist.

This is the best thing created for Star Wars since Rogue One

  • There are only 3 Star Wars movies.
  • There are only 4 Rocky movies.
  • There are only 3 Indiana Jones movies.
  • There are only 2 Godfather movies.
  • There are only 3 Die Hard movies.

And I'm sure I've missed some other series where people think there are more movies than there actually are.

Lucas is on record saying that there isn't an Episode 7 in his opinion, and referred to Disney as White Slavers.

You forgot there are only 2 Terminator and Alien(s)

The Last Jedi is on TNT right now. It's just so gawdawful cringe, holy hell. I'd forgotten how bad it is.

Just wait for the 3rd prison episode. That was one of the best pieces of SW content ever made.

Can’t wait.

Finally got my Polk soundbar working again (long story), can’t wait for that episode.

Also considering upgrading from a 65” LG OLED to an 83”.
